Mashallah this is an amazing app and may Allah swt reward the developers of it. It’s a really nice, clean, easy interface. And makes Quran easy to be apart of your day even if it’s only for a couple of minutes. Once u start reading for a couple minutes, you find yourself reading more than expected. Also has the translation under each word, learning Quranic vocabulary, and reflections on the ayahs you just read. Amazing app that all Muslims should download regardless of how far one may feel from the Quran, this will help u get closer

when this first came out I couldn't help but compare it to the Quranic app- an app I regularly use to drill down into the word-by-word meaning of the Quran. However, after a few days of using it, I've noticed Yawm is markedly better for a couple of reasons - 1) it fosters non-linear learning. you know when you pick up a mushaf just for a particular surah? instead of teaching you words that are good to know generally, yawm targets words you just saw, which connects so much better! 2) tafsir & reflections - yawm is unique in not only its prompts for reflection, but also its inclusion of several references for tafsir. though it's not necessary to have a reflection, it is so nice to see a captured summary of what I just read as well as the prompt turning it back to me. it's very rare that I read the Quran and connect it to myself, so even just the question of it has gotten me thinking differently. I really appreciate this summary/ reflection approach, as well as being to read several tafsirs to really dive in deep from different angles. for the devs: thank you guys for making this! some features I'd like to see:1) tajweed: thank you SO MUCH for implementing this, and so quickly! my favorite mushaf at the moment is tarteel, I find their tajweed to be the most simple and easy to follow. at the moment, yawm implements a lot of tajweed markers. I wonder if it could be simplified further to make it as seamless as tarteel - integrate some of the tajweed into the text so not all of the colors are needed. 2) options to have more / fewer words: right now, indiscriminate of reading session length, I am presented with only 4 vocab words. I get this is to promote short, quick learning, but if I read for 25 minutes maybe I could have 16 words? more suggestions to come as I keep using the app. thanks for the great, quick work, yawn team! I truly love this application. May Allah SWT bless the people who made this app. I really feel that it has benefitted me. A slight note: when you select the option to turn on the colorful Tajweed view, it changes some of the Tanween Mutabi’i (double damma) to Tanween Mutarakib (damma with a small hook). Also, at times, the small alif that is over certain letters is shifted to the left a bit. Again, I am truly grateful for this app. Just wanted to point out some hopefully quick fixes inshaAllah.
