Turn real runs into XP, levels, and loot. Choose your hero and level through a living fantasy world. First week free, then a subscription.
Pathbound is an RPG where your real runs power everything. Every mile you cover in the real world becomes stamina for your hero. Spend it to explore a fantasy world, battle monsters, and bring home loot.
Your first week of play is free, with the whole game open. If Pathbound makes your runs better, a subscription keeps the adventure going.
Pathbound is not a step counter. Record runs right in the app, or sync finished workouts from Apple Health: outdoor runs and treadmill sessions all count.
HOW IT WORKS
Run anywhere: record right in Pathbound, or use any app or watch that saves to Apple Health. Claim your workout in Pathbound to earn stamina. Spend stamina on expeditions: choose your route node by node, fight monsters, trigger strange events, and decide when to push deeper or retreat with your spoils.
WHAT'S WAITING
• A world of seven regions, from quiet forests to obsidian peaks.
• Hundreds of monsters to hunt, each with its own drops.
• Roguelite expeditions with treasure, campfires, merchants, and boss fights.
• Loot with rarities and elemental modifiers, plus a Forge to improve your favorites.
• A camp to grow: garden, cauldron, workbench.
• Daily and weekly quests you clear with real distance.
• Towns full of characters who need your help, with shops and services that open as you pitch in.
• Leaderboards and guilds full of other runners, with a shared guild goal every week.
MADE FOR EVERY RUNNER
A twenty-minute jog is real progress. Consistency beats speed, and the game never punishes a rest day. Whether you are on your first couch-to-5K or training for a marathon, your effort moves your hero forward.
Pathbound syncs with Apple Health (HealthKit). It reads your finished workouts to power the game. If you record a run in Pathbound, you can choose to save it to Apple Health too.

Been playing the beta for ~4 to 5 months now. For better or worse this game is coded/developed by a small company in Canada. It is not another ‘Step counter’ game, it is focused around running specifically. While you can progress slowly logging walks, you need to run to get the most out of it. The beta community has had direct interaction with devs that actually listen and that looks as it will continue through the live game. It’s not going to be everyone’s cup of tea but if you are already an active runner, or are interested in becoming one, this game can definitely help increase motivation. Excited to see the game going live and where it’s headed in the future.

Thank you for the review 🙏🙏
This game is perfect for runners.

This game is perfect for runners. Main reason is accountability. You run you can play. You don’t run you caaan play but you won’t want to because it would take to long to build of the stamina needed. Since I got this app I’m sneaking in extra run I wouldn’t normally do because I want to play. Big for motivation. You run and want a game that doesn’t take over your life but instead motivates you to get out and run? This is the game for you.

This is an amazing game concept with RPG dungeons and loot that is advanced by real life running workouts! It is such a great motivator to run more frequently and longer. I have been a Patreon supporter and early beta tester. The developer has incorporated community feedback at every level of creation making this a game that truly created by and created for the running community. I will continue to be around on this game for a very long time!

Great motivation to get serious about running again. I’ve logged over 600 miles in the game and can’t wait to keep going. I’m chasing PR’s that I thought were out of reach for my age just because I’m having fun again. Great for beginners and the elite because pace isn’t a factor. The updates never disappoint so I’m excited to see how it keeps growing.
