Practice smarter with ClefNotes 1.2: a Lock Screen practice timer, a rock-steady metronome, and your session tools on every tab. Free for one student. Designed to work with the Suzuki method of learning an instrument, but great for all levels and kinds of playing, ClefNotes is the all-in-one music practice companion that helps you organize your sessions, track your progress, and truly master your instrument. Whether you're a student preparing for an audition, a teacher managing multiple students, or a hobbyist rediscovering your passion, ClefNotes gives you the structure and tools to make every practice session count. EVERYTHING YOU NEED IN ONE APP: LOG EVERY SESSION: Start the timer and focus on your playing. Log how long you practiced, what you worked on, and how it went. Look back at your history and see your dedication pay off. YOUR TOOLS, ALWAYS AT HAND: Once you open a practice session, a practice bar keeps your timer, metronome, tuner, and recorder one tap away, even while you browse your songs or check your stats. Tap the bar to jump straight back to your session. PRACTICE TIMER ON YOUR LOCK SCREEN: Your session timer shows on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, so you can see your time at a glance and pause, resume, or stop without unlocking your phone. A METRONOME YOU CAN TRUST: The built-in metronome schedules every click with sample-accurate timing, so it stays rock-steady at any tempo. Use the chromatic tuner to stay in tune, with no need to switch apps. MANAGE YOUR REPERTOIRE: Keep a detailed list of your pieces, scales, and exercises. Log every play as Learning, Practice, or Review, set play goals for each song, and let the random song picker choose what to review next. TRAIN YOUR EAR: Sharpen your pitch recognition with the built-in Pitch Game. CAPTURE EVERY IDEA: Inspiration can strike at any time. Jot down text notes, sketch out musical ideas with the drawing tool, or capture a melody with a quick audio recording. You can even import and annotate your PDF sheet music. VISUALIZE YOUR PROGRESS: See your hard work come to life! Detailed stats show your practice streak, a heat map of your sessions, and a breakdown of how you spend your time. Earn awards like Perfect Week, Weekend Warrior, and Marathon Musician to stay motivated. iCLOUD SYNC & SHARING: Your data syncs securely across your iPhone and iPad. Share student profiles with teachers or collaborators, so it's easy to get feedback and stay on the same page. WHO IS CLEFNOTES FOR? Students: Stay organized for lessons, prepare for auditions, and build a solid practice habit. ClefNotes 1.2 is our biggest update yet! PRACTICE BAR Open a session and your timer, metronome, tuner, and recorder stay one tap away on every tab. Check a song or look at your stats without losing your place, and tap the bar to jump back to your session. The metronome keeps playing and recordings keep going while you move around the app. LOCK SCREEN & DYNAMIC ISLAND TIMER Your practice timer now appears on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. Pause, resume, or stop it without unlocking your phone. The timer keeps accurate time even if you leave the app, and durations are now saved to the second. A ROCK-STEADY METRONOME The metronome has been rebuilt from the ground up with sample-accurate timing. It stays perfectly steady at any tempo, even when you change the tempo while it plays, switch headphones, or take a call. NEW: FREE FOR ONE STUDENT ClefNotes is now free for one student, with unlimited sessions, songs, notes, and recordings. The metronome and tuner are free in every practice session. ClefNotes Pro adds unlimited students, the metronome and tuner anytime outside a session, extra accent colors (including a custom color), and alternate app icons. Students you've already added are never locked. FIXES & IMPROVEMENTS • Fixed a crash on the Awards screen • Leaving a session mid-recording now asks whether to save, so recordings are no longer lost • Fixed a purchase spinner that could get stuck • Perfect Week and Weekend Warrior awards are now counted correctly • Songs regroup right away when you change a song's status, and swipe-to-edit works again • The tuner fits smaller screens better • Session screens keep their large title • Stability and iCloud sync improvements
