Hoot: Presence-Based Social
Real life, in real time.
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Hoot helps you discover what’s happening around you - in real time.
While social media shows you what people choose to share, Hoot helps you experience what’s happening right now. Discover places worth visiting, see what’s happening nearby, connect with people who are already there, and find experiences that fit the moment.
Discover What’s Happening Nearby
Open Hoot to see live activity around you. Canopies bring together what’s happening across neighborhoods, events, campuses, and districts, helping you discover the places and moments that make your area come alive.
Get Real-Time Answers
Inside a Canopy, ask questions and hear from people who are there.
Is it busy right now?
What’s the vibe?
Is it worth coming over?
Get useful, real-time perspectives from people experiencing the moment firsthand.
Discover HootDeals
Find timely offers and opportunities from businesses nearby. HootDeals help you discover places, experiences, and offers that are relevant to what’s happening around you.
Build Your Presence
Hoot gives you new ways to express who you are through real-world participation.
Feathers and Wingspan reflect your activity, contribution, and presence. The more you participate, contribute, and help others, the more your presence grows.
Be Part of What’s Happening
Hoot isn’t about endless scrolling or chasing likes.
It’s about discovering what’s happening, finding places worth being, meeting people along the way, and being part of the moment.
Why Hoot?
Social apps made connection about what gets posted.
Hoot brings the focus back to what’s happening in real life.
Discover. Connect. Participate.
Real life is happening all around you. Hoot helps you find it.
