Improvements: The image editor now speaks your language. Every tool, tooltip and options bar is translated, in all ten languages. Settings is fully translated too, including the save mode and filename format menus. The search box in Settings now finds sections by words in your own language, not only the English ones. The cloud settings, the messages after copying or removing an image, and the undo actions are translated as well. The Russian translation has been reviewed from start to finish by a native speaker.

New: • Customize the menu bar dropdown: show or hide every action on the new Menu Bar page in Settings. • Item spacing: give the menu items more breathing room with the Standard, Comfortable or Spacious preset. • Shortcut keys: hide the shortcut hints in the menu, or tune how visible they are with an opacity slider. • ShotScreen now speaks your language: the whole app is available in ten new languages, including German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese. Pick yours in Settings. • Move and resize the preview: hold Option (configurable in Settings) to reveal two handles that let you drag the preview anywhere on screen and resize it freely. ShotScreen remembers the position and size, including inside the editor. • Open files directly in the editor: turn on the new Settings toggle and any image you open with ShotScreen jumps straight into annotate mode. • Save to original file: a new button in the editor writes your edits back to the file you opened, just like Preview does. Fixed: • The Dock icon no longer lingers after opening a file. • Leftover toolbar buttons after confirming an edit are gone. • The playback bar stays at the bottom when resizing a recording preview. • GIF export saves to your chosen folder again. • The unlock window closes immediately after entering a valid license.

Service messages: ShotScreen can now show a short notice from us, such as planned server maintenance, at the top of Settings. A small info badge on the menu bar icon points you to it until you have seen it, and maintenance times are shown in your own time zone. Update badge: the menu bar icon now shows a small arrow when a new version of ShotScreen is ready.

This update fixes two visual bugs. - Upscaling could shift the result and cut off part of the image. Small images were hit hardest, but the edges of larger ones were affected too. - Shadows around the preview, the edit toolbars, the layers panel and the Settings window were cut off with a hard line, and some of them only appeared after you moved the mouse over them.
