I’m so happy TherapyNotes came out with an app, finally! I’ve been wanting this for a while. Only thing is the main reason I was hoping for an app was to be able to write notes on the go (while I’m walking around the block and keeping proper confidentiality precautions). As a therapist with ADHD, I find it difficult to sit for very long periods and think better when I walk. It would be amazing if they could build out a mobile friendly ability to input notes.

I was very happy to see that an app was made and was looking forward to have access to a better format for completing notes on my phone and accessing telehealth securely on my phone. However, there is no notes function within the app and I for some reason the telehealth sessions are not working. Hopefully that can be fixed and a progress note feature added soon.

You can only view your schedule and send messages for now, but I’m genuinely excited about where this is going. My favorite feature is the “upcoming birthdays” breakdown. It sounds small, but it’s huge — it’s way too easy to forget who has a birthday when everything lives online. Glad to see TherapyNotes finally taking steps toward a real mobile companion app. Keep building.
No improvement for writing notes

I was very excited when I saw this app because I wanted an option to make writing notes easier to do on-the-go. However, when I opened the app, I saw that it simply redirects to a browser when you try to write session notes. This app seems to be focused on presenting agendas in a mobile-friendly format. Perhaps some people will find the mobile agenda useful, but I was personally hopeful that this app would help streamline note-writing. I may as well just log into TherapyNotes on my phone browser app.
