In this method, the first infusions are intentionally very short — often 15–30 seconds, and sometimes even less depending on the tea.This approach is common for many Chinese and Taiwanese teas (oolong, pu-erh, some green teas), where flavor develops gradually across several infusions rather than a single long brew.The timer in the app is designed specifically for this style of tea preparation. However, longer brewing times can also be used depending on the tea and personal preference.Thanks again for trying the app and sharing your thoughts.

Tea Master now works with Siri. Say “Brew Shu Pu-erh in Tea Master” or “Start the timer in Tea Master” and the timer starts even with the app closed. Five actions for the Shortcuts app, and your teas show up in Spotlight search. Ready for iOS 27. The timer is lighter on the battery in the background, while the notification and the Lock Screen card work as before. Small fixes. Good tea.
