What's New in Trip Tally 3.4 Ask Trip Tally Ask questions about your trips and expenses in your own words, from either dashboard. Try "How many times have I filled up at a BP servo?", "Nights away this year vs last year" or "Where was I last Easter?". Every figure is worked out from your own records, and you can open the records behind each answer. Tap the ••• menu on the Trip Dashboard or Expenses Dashboard, then Ask Trip Tally. Two new designs: Cockpit and Horizon Liquid Glass stays the default, and two new looks restyle the whole app in light and dark mode, with your Colour Theme as the accent. • Cockpit: an instrument cluster with gauges, an odometer and LED meters. • Horizon: a travel poster with landscape heroes and stats printed on tickets, stamps and luggage tags. • Applies to the dashboards, Active Trip, History, Calendar, Settings, the Add sheets, Home Screen widgets and the trip Live Activity. Choose a design in Settings > Appearance & Layout > Appearance > Design. Customise your dashboard hero In Cockpit and Horizon, touch and hold the hero and tap Customise Hero to choose which stats it shows. Touch and hold any stat in Explore All Data and All Highlights to pin or unpin it. Public Holidays • Public holidays appear in red on the Trip Calendar, separate from your trips, with a monthly list and a Day Detail view. • Choose your countries and states from the flag button in the Calendar or in Settings > Units & Region > Public Holidays. • When today is a public holiday where you are, your Active Trip tile and widgets show the holiday's name. • Holidays are stored on your device and work without a signal. Dates come from Nager.Date and can change, so confirm important dates with the official source. Fairer trends Trend chips now compare like with like: a year still under way is compared with the same point last year, and planned trips are left out. Green now means good news for that stat, so spending more no longer shows green.

What's New in Version 3.3 Smarter road trip planning, Siri answers about your trips, and a bigger Active Trip tile. Plan a road trip your way The AI Road Trip Planner now starts by asking how you want to plan. Choose one destination, enter your own list of stops, or let the AI plan a multi-stop road trip. Road Trip Ideas suggests three complete routes to choose from. Nights that fit your dates Set a trip budget covering nights, stops, daily driving and season, and answer "How long at each stop?" to keep plans realistic. Changing the nights at one stop rebalances the others so the trip still fits your dates. A redesigned planner The planner screens and the Your Trip result have a refreshed look. Each stop gets its own card, with route bridges between stops and a details sheet for every destination. Ask Siri about your trips Ask Siri how many nights you've been away, how often you've visited a place, what you've spent on fuel and more. To try it, go to Settings > Help & Support > Siri & Shortcuts. Showcase Active Trip tile The Showcase tile is larger and shows more about your trip in progress. The original style is now called Compact. Switch between them in Settings > Appearance & Layout > Layout > Active Trip Tile. New Between-Trip Weather summaries now appear in Trip History, showing what the conditions were like at your destination until you moved on — min/max temperature, total rainfall, max wind + gust, plus humidity and pressure. All based on the earlier trip’s location and your unit settings. Only counts while you’re travelling: Between-Trip Weather isn’t saved for time spent at Home — it’s just for those stretches when you’re out and about. Shows up automatically once you add the next trip leg after your current location. Want the details? Tap a weather chip to see the exact date and time the min/max readings happened. Works nicely behind the scenes: summaries are cached, sync across devices, include a location chip, come with improved accessibility, and can be refreshed any time using the centered “Refresh” chip. Weather editing is now on your terms Editing past trips no longer silently refreshes weather or unexpectedly flips “Actual” to “Estimated.” Past trips now have a dedicated Refresh button — weather only updates if you explicitly choose to refresh and then save. Vehicles and towing, finally tracked properly You can now add the vehicles you travel with and the things you tow. Save multiple vehicles and towing items like caravans or trailers, and set defaults in Settings to make trip entry faster. Cleaner, smarter trip logging When adding a trip, simply select the vehicle you used and, if you were towing, choose exactly what came along. Not towing? Trip Tally keeps things neat and out of the way. Bulk editing, done right Editing multiple trips at once is now more flexible. Syncing should now activate smoothly the first time. • Correct weather refresh behaviour When refreshing weather for older trips, the app sometimes used forecast data instead of the actual current conditions. This has been corrected so refreshed weather accurately reflects real-time data.
