Export your full timeline as separate edited clips, numbered chronologically in dated folders—with recording-date metadata and optional timestamp overlays.
ORGANIZE, EDIT, AND EXPORT YOUR VIDEO TIMELINE
PI Video Editor helps you organize recordings from dashcams, body cameras, security cameras, and other video sources. Arrange clips by recording time, trim unwanted footage, customize timestamps, and export a merged video or separate edited clips.
MERGE OR EXPORT INDIVIDUAL CLIPS
• Merge your timeline into one video, or export every timeline clip as an individual file.
• Individual exports retain trims, brightness adjustments, horizontal mirroring, and audio settings.
• Number individual files in chronological order and name them using their recording date and time.
• Organize individual exports into dated folders. Existing folder names receive “ - 2”, “ - 3”, and so on.
• Match individual exports’ recording-date metadata and file creation and modification dates to each clip’s starting timestamp.
• Right-click Export Clips and choose No Time Stamp to export without a visible timestamp overlay while retaining recording-date metadata.
• Export in MP4 or MOV with quality options and progress tracking.
CUSTOMIZABLE TIMESTAMP OVERLAYS
• Add date and time directly to exported video.
• Choose date and time, date only, or time only.
• Adjust font, size, color, position, background, and text effects.
• Use 12-hour or 24-hour time and choose whether to show seconds.
• Hide timestamps on individual clips.
EDIT WITHOUT CHANGING YOUR SOURCE FILES
• Set trim-in and trim-out points.
• Split clips at the playhead while preserving adjacent source ranges.
• Adjust brightness and correct horizontally mirrored footage.
• Select multiple clips for editing and remove unwanted timeline segments.
• Capture a still image from the current frame.
• Use keyboard shortcuts, Undo, and Redo.
CONTROL RECORDING DATES AND TIMES
• Sort clips chronologically or arrange the timeline manually.
• Adjust a clip’s recording time or apply a time offset to multiple clips.
• Use presets for daylight saving time and 12-hour AM/PM corrections.
• Use reverse timestamp mode when a recording’s date represents its end time.
• Review warnings when calculated recording times overlap.
A CLEAR VIEW OF YOUR FOOTAGE
• Preview video alongside a clip list and visual timeline.
• Group clips by recording date.
• Choose large or compact thumbnails.
• Import clips by dragging and dropping files.
PROCESS VIDEO ON YOUR MAC
Video editing and export processing take place locally on your Mac. Choose your own output location and keep your source recordings intact.
Built for reviewing incidents, organizing surveillance footage, preparing chronological recordings, and managing personal video collections.
