I’m really enjoying the app the only issue I’m having is being able to share my character with friends; the link just says server can’t be found

Thank you for reporting this. Character sharing has been rebuilt around Apple’s native iCloud sharing system, including proper invitation links and in-app share acceptance. Please update Ocie before creating a new share link, as links created by older versions may no longer work correctly. Both sender and recipient should be signed into iCloud, and the recipient will need the latest version of Ocie installed.

Please update Ocie before creating a new share link, as links created by older versions may no longer work correctly. If you are like me and have a serious problem with needing constant organization and are distressed when you don’t have a neat place to put your things then this app should make you very very happy! I have been storing all my ocs on my notes app for years, I couldn’t add photos or relationships to other ocs in a clean way and it always annoyed me. I had huge storylines my ocs were a part of and nowhere to organize it. When I found this app I was scared it was another one of those things that made you pay monthly to use literally anything good that it advertised, however I was pleasantly proved wrong! While there is an option to pay monthly, lots of the features are available and have fair usage limits, even to the point you probably don’t have to pay at all if you are okay with waiting! They even have a one time purchase option to use the entire app and I really appreciate that because I hate subscriptions so much so that I will simply not use an app if it forces me to buy one! I will say on the downside they do currently seem to have a problem with the app where it won’t sync with my iCloud… I have tried clearing storage on both my iPad and phone and my iCloud but alas. It doesn’t work :( could just be me but that seems pretty unlikely, so for now till I can get it fixed I will keep a spare info file! If there is any way to fix this before anything of mine gets wiped and I cry, plz let me know! XD

So, I really love this app. Very much. But it deleted all of my data. Everything is gone. My characters, my worlds, my stories, everything has been erased. I didn’t do anything, I literally just opened the app one day and everything had been wiped clean. Tbh I’m incredibly heart broken because I input a lot of info into this app and now it’s just gone lol. Not mad really, just sad. Idk if there is anything that can be done to get it back but if there is I’d appreciate it. Idk how to resign in because there is nothing in settings about it. I’m going to go and try write everything down before I forget it all.

We’re deeply sorry, losing work you spent so much time creating is heartbreaking. We’ve added safeguards that prevent Ocie from silently replacing a store when it encounters a loading or iCloud problem. Ocie now detects unexpectedly empty data, stops before making changes, and presents recovery options. It also keeps up to five automatic daily recovery snapshots on the device. Please don’t delete or reinstall the app, as that may remove recoverable local data. Update Ocie and check the Data Management and recovery screens. If possible, contact us at ocie@dreamscapecrafters.com so we can help investigate.

This is a great app that I definitely will be using for my OC’s. With the free version, you can make 3 characters per month (but you can watch ads to get more). The way you’re able to customize worlds, places, and stories is really cool and helpful if you struggle with sorting things out. I hope more is to come from this app.!
