SMARTER THAN A WEATHER APP
S.I.F.T. doesn't just display data — it interprets it. Every score factors in water flow, temperature, pressure trends, precipitation, wind, light conditions, active hatch windows, and river-specific thresholds. Whether you're planning a trip or already streamside, S.I.F.T. helps you make informed, responsible decisions about when and where to fish.
TRACK YOUR SUCCESS
Every catch you log is automatically enriched with the conditions at time of catch — flow, temperature, clarity, weather. Over time, S.I.F.T. reveals seasonal patterns, top-performing rivers, and the conditions that produce your best days.
REGIONAL OVERVIEW
S.I.F.T. scans every river in your region and delivers a fishing report that reads like it came from your local fly shop — updated morning, midday, and evening. It identifies improving or declining conditions, combines weather and hydrology trends, and translates them into tactical guidance.

Incredible depth of analysis - the simple score makes it easy to understand conditions at a glance, but you can also dig into the details of the data if you’re nerdy like that. This isn’t just regurgitating USGA data (which others do, and try to charge you for it). Loving the new hatch calendar features. Can’t wait to see the personal analytics on my catches this season.
Trust it on the water.

Clean, intuitive, and actually helpful. Cuts the noise and gets you straight to the fish.
Disappointing

I chose the free version before paying and I’m glad I did. There are only 10 states, one which I live in, but the others I would not be visiting. There are states like Colorado and Wyoming that have Blue Ribbon trout rivers which are not available. I understand it’s a lot of information to put into an app, but there should at least be states that have the best rivers.I am deleting the app because it will be of no help to me.
Developer Response
Hi Neil, really appreciate you giving S.I.F.T. a try and taking the time to share this.Totally fair feedback. The app is still very new and actively scaling, and right now we are limited to rivers that have reliable gauge and data coverage so the analysis actually holds up. I would rather have fewer rivers done right than a long list without meaningful insight. That said, expanding coverage is a big focus, and places like Colorado and Wyoming are absolutely on the roadmap. If you are open to it, I would genuinely love to hear which specific rivers you would want to see included. That helps me prioritize what to build next. Thanks again for trying it out, and I hope you will check back in as it grows.
What's new in 2.0:
- Added Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, Vermont, and North Carolina regions with 50+ new rivers
- Estimated water temps for rivers without temperature sensors, powered by air-to-water modeling with tailwater and CFS adjustments
- 178 premier trout waters now scored in real time, coast to coast
Small UI bug fixes. Better clarity on whats included in premium subscription.
