A graphite and orange design in light and dark themes, with a new app icon and higher-contrast text throughout. • Simpler practice screen. The two answer words come first and are larger, so the listen-and-choose loop is easier to see. • Clearer feedback after a miss. Both words appear side by side, tagged "Correct" and "You chose", each with its contrasting sound highlighted. • Level progress. A bar under the level dots shows how close you are to the next level. • More variety at higher levels. When a level has few word pairs, practice now mixes in pairs from the same contrast's earlier levels instead of repeating one pair. • A fuller placement check. It now covers every sound contrast for your language and sets a starting level for each one. • Finishing all six levels of a contrast now marks it as mastered. IMPROVEMENTS • Soundwise now asks for your native language on first launch, so practice always matches it. • The English UI switch now moves correctly between English and your native language. • Results are more reliable, and daily practice time follows your local day. • Saved progress is better protected. • iPad: layouts follow the window in Split View and Slide Over, and the first-run language picker is centered. • Better VoiceOver support in Settings. • The first tab is now named Practice, and each screen shows a single title.

Expanded Soundwise’s minimal-pair training for more first-language backgrounds. This update adds more real-word practice pairs for important English sound contrasts, including examples like right/light, rice/lice, road/load, sit/seat, and fill/feel where relevant. The goal is simple: help learners practice sound contrasts with varied examples, not just memorize one word pair.
