OFFLINE MAPS • Save any Nigerian state to your phone and use Maimaps with no data: browse the map, search, get directions, look up loccodes and see place details. • See each state's download size and main towns before you save it. • Maps save in the background, and Maimaps lets you know when an update is ready. • Get directions between the states you've saved, right on your phone. • Sign in to save offline maps. NAVIGATION • Alternate routes now show on the map. Tap one to switch. • Arrows on the route show exactly where to turn. • Forks, ramps, merges and the end of the road are drawn and spoken more clearly, including on your Lock Screen. • Turns are announced earlier, and after a reroute you hear your next turn instead of "Rerouting". • Fewer false "off route" moments, and a faster route is never suggested along the road you're already on. • More accurate roundabout directions and arrival times. • When you start a trip, the map along your route is saved to your phone, so it keeps showing through weak signal. • Very long trips no longer freeze the directions screen, and trips of a day or more show in days. BETTER ON WEAK CONNECTIONS • A connection indicator shows when you're offline. • Search tells you when you're offline or the connection is slow, and still finds your saved and recent places and loccodes. • If a route can't load, you'll see why, with a Try again button. EVERYDAY IMPROVEMENTS • Text is larger and easier to read. • Tap a place, street or point on the map and Maimaps picks the right one. Streets are marked along their whole length. • Drag the route details up or down to see more or less. • Faster start-up, plus bug fixes and security improvements.
