PICOWORD — Daily Themed Word Puzzles
A new word puzzle every single day, built around a fresh theme. Today might be "Kitchen Things." Tomorrow might be "Greek Gods" or "Why Is the Dog Barking?" You won't know until you open the app — and that's the point.
Other word games loop the same pre-built levels for years. We draft a pile of candidate themes every day, score them, throw out anything close to a repeat, and a person picks the one that ships. Curated daily, never a re-run.

FOUR WAYS TO PLAY
DAILY
One themed puzzle a day. A category, a board of hidden words, five hearts. A wrong-but-valid guess still teaches you something — its consonants light up on the board, so even a miss moves you forward. Bonus words are hidden in every puzzle and pay out in diamonds. Build a streak, climb the leaderboard, share your result.
ENDLESS
A run of small boards where typing costs health, letter by letter. Solve the word and you get it all back; hesitate and you don't. Points pile up as a pot on your piggy bank — one wrong guess empties the pot and resets your multiplier. Banking is safe, but the multiplier goes with it. Any board can be skipped if it has you stuck. The answer to "I finished today's Connections, now what?"
GRID LOCK
A 5x5 jigsaw made of words. Drag coloured letter pieces from the tray into the grid until everything locks into place. Same app, a completely different kind of puzzle.
HEAD TO HEAD
A live opponent, the same clue, a race. Win and your Pico Rank climbs.

Great game - only negative is the advertising banner at the bottom of my screen, iPad, blocks the 3rd row of keyboard. Frustrating to try to remember where a c or n or m is located.UPDATE: creator quickly responded and fixed the problem. 😄

Picoword dressed up for Halloween.
Through October 31st the app is in costume: a spooky-cozy home in light and dark mode, a Halloween splash, and on desktop, a Halloween room.
The first witch hat we tried was a picture pasted over PicoGuy, and it looked it. This one is drawn into his own animation, so it moves when he does.
- PicoGuy's in a witch hat — still blinking and emoting. The logo has a little hat of its own, plus sparkles.
- Hearts are pumpkins — lose one and it goes grey and pops in orange sparks.
- Same game underneath — the boards and the rules haven't changed. On November 1st the costume comes off.
