Hanak33n is a simple, fast Markdown viewer for your Mac. Drop a .md or .markdown file into the window and read it, cleanly rendered. No setup, no clutter: just your document. READ MARKDOWN THE WAY IT WAS MEANT TO LOOK • Headings, paragraphs and horizontal rules • Bold, italic and strikethrough text • Bulleted, numbered and nested lists • Inline code and code blocks in a monospaced font • Tables • Block quotes and links OPEN FILES YOUR WAY • Drag and drop a file onto the window • Or choose File > Open Markdown File… (Command-O) SELECT AND COPY Text is selectable, so you can copy any passage straight from the rendered document. EXPORT AND PRINT • Export as PDF (Command-Shift-E) creates a paginated A4 PDF of your document, ready to share or archive. • Print (Command-P) prepares the same print-ready PDF and opens it in Preview, where you can print it. A VIEWER, NOT AN EDITOR Hanak33n never modifies your files. It is the quickest way to read a README, meeting notes or documentation without opening a full editor. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Hanak33n runs in the macOS App Sandbox, does not connect to the internet and collects no data. It only opens the files you choose. Available in English and French.
