• Setup now has you try the real thing. You lock one app, go open it, meet your own shield, and put the phone face down to earn your way in — the old walkthrough only simulated it. • Setup asks for a single app to start, and explains why. Block as many as you like once you are set up. • Premium plans now appear after setup, over the app you just configured, instead of interrupting the last step. • Got a promo code? Setup now asks right at the end, so a code applies before anything is offered to you. • On iOS 26.5 and later, notification permission is gone from Settings — the shield opens FaceDown directly, so it was no longer needed. • On earlier versions, notification access is requested together with Screen Time, so nothing is missing the first time you hit a shield. • Fixed the Unlock Duration screen sitting too high, and setup text running into the edge of the screen.

• Setup now ends by showing what Premium unlocks. If you'd rather stay on the Free plan, you're offered a one-time discount on the lifetime unlock. • Fixed a dead end in setup: if you declined Screen Time access, the screen offered no way forward and the only escape was deleting the app. You can now continue and turn it on later. • Screen Time access can now be granted any time from Settings. • On iOS 26.5 and later, setup no longer asks for notification permission — it is no longer needed. • Clearer buttons and consistent spacing throughout setup. • Added missing Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese and Vietnamese translations across the schedule, website blocking and purchase screens.

• Fixed the upgrade screen closing itself moments after opening, which made it impossible to subscribe • Redeeming a promo code no longer closes the upgrade screen unexpectedly • Purchases and restores now tell you what went wrong instead of failing silently • If the plans fail to load, you can retry instead of getting stuck

• Clearer block screen: the Open button now stands out instead of blending into the background • Fixed an icon that was invisible on the block screen in Dark Mode

• Scheduled blocking, explained: the home screen now shows why apps are locked or free — like "Scheduled block until 18:00" • New quick guide to scheduled blocking, for both new and existing users • Interface polish and bug fixes

• On iOS 26.5 and later, the shield button now opens FaceDown directly — no more waiting for a notification. Tap, flip your phone, and start your challenge right away. • Minor fixes and improvements.

• Small polish across onboarding.

• Smarter timing: we now wait for a great focus moment before asking how FaceDown is going. • Small polish across the focus summary and onboarding.

• Redeem promo codes in-app — tap “Have a promo code?” to claim special offers. • Your subscription state now updates instantly across the app. • Polished sheet styling for a more consistent look.

• Focus Mode is now fully localized in your language. • Streamlined Focus onboarding with a cleaner flow. • Smoother transitions and more tactile haptics. • Various fixes and refinements.

FaceDown 2.0 — Focus Mode is here. • New Focus tab: place your phone face-down to start a stopwatch that tracks uninterrupted focus time. • Live Activity & Dynamic Island: glance at your session anytime, even from the Lock Screen. • Battery awareness: see exactly how little power you used while focused. • Session history with shareable summary cards.
