It remembers unit conversions it has figured out before, and asking it to add expiring items to your list now works instantly and reliably. REDESIGNED PANTRY The Pantry got a cleanup: clearer sort options (including by expiration), simpler buttons, and a swipe gesture to preview item details. Duplicate items are now flagged automatically instead of needing a separate cleanup step. SHOPPING LIST IMPROVEMENTS Items scanned from receipts are now categorized intelligently instead of getting dumped into "Other." A new full-width button makes it easy to check off what you picked up. CALENDAR AND COOKING Schedule a meal in just a couple of taps from an empty calendar slot, and Cooking Mode now scales ingredient amounts to match the meal's actual portion size. FIXES - Undone meals no longer get double-counted - Deleted recipes and items can no longer reappear after being removed - Typing in the shopping list or scan screens no longer gets interrupted by preview text - The onboarding tutorial is shorter and easier to get through or skip - Shopping day reminders now update when you change your shopping day in Preferences - Removed the unused "snack" meal type that had nowhere to appear We also polished onboarding visuals and gave returning users a way to clear out sample data once they have settled in. PrepWise remembers what you actually buy (a dozen eggs, a 5 lb bag of rice) and suggests the right size next time, learning from your own habits plus a curated catalog of common staples. Scan a barcode to add pantry items instantly, and matching items on your shopping list check themselves off automatically. Updating your pantry is quicker too, with a redesigned capture flow and photo scanning that can add several items at once. Redesigned Cooking Mode Cooking Mode has a new section rail so you always know where you are in a recipe, a combined Done and Next control, and an ingredients sheet you can pull up without losing your place. Lock Screen Live Activities now match, so cooking and your shopping trips stay in sync right from the lock screen. Better recipe photos Recipe images finally have a proper editor: pinch, drag, and reposition to get the crop just right, with a live preview as you adjust. Recipes without a photo now get a clean, consistent placeholder instead of a broken image. More ways to bring in recipes Import recipes straight from YouTube video descriptions and TikTok captions, not just the video itself. If a recipe is missing ingredients or instructions, PrepWise can now fill in the gaps for you. Imported Instagram photos no longer show the reel play button. Shopping List, rebuilt The Shopping List now has two clear modes, Plan and Shop, so building your list and actually shopping with it each feel purpose built. Smaller improvements A weekly Pantry Refresh reminder helps you keep expiring items in check. The assistant is more careful about what it tells you regarding your pantry, and you can type longer messages to it without losing text.
