Hear the Bible come alive, one story at a time. 326 beautifully narrated stories, and a new one free every day.
Risen - Modern Bible Stories
Most people mean to read the Bible. Almost nobody finishes it. Risen is the app that finally makes Scripture click. 326 narrated Bible stories you'll actually want to hear, a daily verse on your home screen, and a private faith journal. Faith that feels real, relevant, and made for your life.
326 NARRATED BIBLE STORIES
From Creation to Revelation across 28 seasons, the whole Bible story comes alive. Choose your narrator: Earl, a warm Texan grandpa who has loved these stories all his life, or Sadie, who tells them like a friend catching you up. Scripture stops feeling like homework and starts feeling like a story you can't stop listening to.

I listen to bible stories while driving to work daily now and then use their scripture guidance to journal about it after. I love the daily widgets too so I wake up to a relevant reminder of my relationship with God. Highly recommend this app, feels very personalized to me.

Love this, the commute plus journaling combo is exactly what we hoped for. Thanks so much!
Waste of money

Downloaded the app and paid the fee after hearing about this on TikTok. I was really excited for this app so I could get more Bible time in while driving etc. Listened to the first 3 readings from genesis within 5 mins of downloading the app and now after waiting 2 weeks, it still says “check back soon. More Bible stories are on the way”. At this point it is just another Bible app since you aren’t able to listen to any more readings/stories. Might as well save your money and just download the free Bible app instead. It is really disappointing to have to pay from the get go, to not have access to anything and not have anything new uploaded in the last couple of weeks. I understand with “new apps” and “new creators” things can take a while, but they should have been up front about the timeline, rather than take your money to have access. To me unfortunately, it feels like stealing at this point. Save your money and save yourself the disappointment.

Honestly, you're right. We charged before the stories were ready and then made you wait, and that wasn't okay. The new 2.0.0 version has 326 stories in it from day one, and the first episode is free now so you can try before you pay.
Love it!

Love this app, has made getting closer with God and reading the Bible regularly so much easier for me. It’s the best for long drives and right before I sleep. Super worth it

Long drives and bedtime are our favorite too. Thanks for the lovely review!
Great for my kids

This has been really great for my children. It’s hard to get them engaged in the Bible sometimes. This keeps it interesting for young ones!
