0.0.17 — More ways to practise New quiz card types: type the answer into letter cells, match words to their translations, speak the answer aloud, or hear the word without seeing it. Each type appears roughly once every ten cards. Quizzes now pull a fresh rotating set of words each restart, and reviews use FSRS — a modern memory-model scheduler that spaces cards more accurately, so you do fewer reviews for the same retention. Some cards also flip direction so you practise recalling both ways. Tap the New / Learning / Review / Due counters above the quiz to see exactly which words are in each group — and edit any of them on the spot. Verb cards now show how the verb conjugates for each person (eu / tu / ele …), handy for Portuguese, German and Spanish. Lots of new Word Packs: Top 500 Words, German Core Vocabulary (4,000 words), plus Business, Phrasal Verbs, Idioms, Health, Technology and more — with a new search box to find them. New packs appear automatically. Word packs now use European Portuguese and Castilian Spanish, and German nouns include their article (der/die/das). The type-the-answer card now opens the keyboard automatically, and the card stack shrinks so the letter cells stay visible above it. The app now opens noticeably faster, and signing in loads your decks, cards and history at the same time. Opening the app with no signal or during a brief server hiccup no longer signs you out or throws away changes that hadn't synced yet. Fixes: a rare bug where an upcoming quiz card could disappear from a session, listen cards briefly revealing their word, and apostrophes showing as stray symbols. Onboarding now asks which level you want to study at. Under the hood: updated to Expo SDK 57 (React Native 0.86), security hardening across our servers, and a leaner app.
