Enjoy a FREE project with limited documents AND lifetime purchases are 35% off or 25% monthly subscription until October 25th! Atlas keeps your story and everything behind it in one place. Write chapters beside character sheets, build your world’s lore and maps, and keep every source you’ve gathered one click away from the page you’re writing. A native app for Mac, iPad, and iPhone. BUILD YOUR WORLD Nest documents to any depth. Any document can hold its own children, so a character can carry their backstory and a chapter can carry its research. Type [[ to link anything; links survive renames, and backlinks show every place a character or location appears. Hierarchical tags, synopses, custom fields like POV or status, and templates keep hundreds of documents easy to navigate. MAP IT ON AN INFINITE CANVAS Lay out documents, folders, images, sketches, and web pages, then drop pins to build a map of your world. Draw labeled connections between characters, plot threads, and places, gather them into groups, and edit any document right on its card. Add sketches created with Apple Pencil on iPad. KEEP RESEARCH CLOSE The Web Clipper turns articles into clean Markdown with their images and source details, and pulls full transcripts from YouTube videos. Snap a photo on your iPhone, share from any app, and keep PDFs, audio, video, and live web pages inside the project, right next to the draft that needs them. WRITE WITH FOCUS Markdown formats as you type and stays out of sight until you need it. Focus Mode dims everything but the sentence you’re on, and Typewriter Scrolling keeps your eyes in one place. Add footnotes, annotations, and tables, and check grammar privately on device with Apple Intelligence. PUBLISH ON YOUR TERMS Export ePub books with custom chapter breaks, print-ready PDFs including a 5x8” trade paperback layout with mirrored margins and running heads, HTML, RTF, plain text, or Markdown. A live preview shows exactly what you’ll get, and the built-in style editor lets you design your own look. SYNC WITH A SAFETY NET iCloud keeps your Mac, iPad, and iPhone in step. Every save creates a version you can browse, star, and restore across all devices. Edits made on two devices to different paragraphs merge automatically, and if they truly collide, Atlas helps you merge both versions so nothing is lost. YOUR WORK STAYS YOURS Documents are Markdown, canvases use an open format, and sync runs through your own iCloud account, not our servers. Whatever happens with your purchase, you can always open, edit, and export everything you’ve made. PRICING Start free with one project with a limited number of documents. Unlock unlimited projects and documents with a monthly or yearly subscription, or buy Lifetime once and own it. One purchase covers Mac, iPad, and iPhone, and every option includes every feature. -- Learn more at https://contagious.dev/atlas -- Start free with a free project (with a document count restriction). Incredible. The best visual workspace app I’ve seen

Atlas has all my favorite features from across all the notes apps I’ve tried, and then some. I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect whiteboarding app where I could not only collect websites & documents, but actually use them side by side, and Atlas delivers on those fronts. Instead of 50+ unorganized browser tabs I forget the contents of, I have them neatly organized into Canvases on Atlas. Of all the apps I’ve tried for this use case, it either 1) didn’t let me use the websites I needed without glitching/refreshing every two seconds, or 2) crashed completely if I added more than a few sites. Plus, it has a built-in web clipper in the Share Sheet that comes with Obsidian-esque templates tailored for popular forms of media. As someone who prefers visual workspaces, I love that I can clip articles and see them laid out as Cards instead of stuffed into a folder where I forget it exists. There are so many other unique features that I’ve never seen in any app that make it well worth the subscription fee. The developer is not only responsive to feedback, but will actually deliver on them in record time. It’s barely been a few months since the app launched, yet it has somehow launched new features that would take years to leave the Roadmap of other apps. I’ve made several feature requests and seen them implemented in the next release, which is crazy to see from a solo dev. I haven’t had to hesitate about adding my content to Atlas, since I can expect any issues I have to be fixed ASAP (and there are a bunch of export options). Super excited to see where this app goes!

The Good: Super flexible. I highly recommend the sample project to familiarize yourself with the features. The ability to open multiple documents in a continuous view is huge. The Wishlist: Export should have an option to strip wikilinks from the file. As this is built as a project manager, the ability to setword countt goals either tied to specific files/folders or the whole workspace would be nice. The Bad: I might just be stupid and looking in the wrong spots for it, but the lack of spellcheck is a serious issue.Overall, a very promising piece of software.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review and I appreciate your kind words! I've gone ahead and added the option to strip wikilinks during export to the roadmap and writing goals are highly requested so another thing that you can expect very soon.I also want to apologize! We recently discovered an issue that caused the spell check toggle in the main menu bar to become disconnected (so it never turned on) and have just released an update to fix that. Sorry about that trouble! I am happy to see you are enjoying Atlas and please don't hesitate to reach out through the feedback option in the app or by emailing support@contagious.dev if you come across problems or think of ways for improvement! Bests!—Dandy

All-In-One Writing Kit that Looks Great!

An incredibly well-thought-out tool for all types of writing projects, from ideation to publishing. The design is elegant yet functional, with nuances only fellow writers can appreciate. I have it installed on my iPhone, iPad and MacBook, but I like the iPad version best, because I can use my Apple Pencil to draw and write on it. The developer is actively updating the app, fixing bugs and adding new features, and I am already choosing this over other writing apps for long-form writing. Highly recommended.

You don’t have to pay to download it, but you do have to pay to do anything in the app. You can’t even close the popup that asks about a free trial to get into the app.
