This one's for Premiere Pro film editors! The Tidy Media Manager is your new best friend! As you know, when you use the Project Manager function in Premiere Pro to consolidate a project to include only the material used in a specific sequence, every related media file is dumped into one giant folder. What a mess! If you want to share that consolidated project with another editor, the disorganization is a nightmare. But did you know: In three clicks, you can transform your consolidated media folder into a neatly structured deliverable that matches the original structure of your Premiere Pro project bin. Each piece of consolidated media is organized into tidy folders. It consolidates subfolders into parent folders to simplify complex structures. You can also exclude folders if you want to leave them behind. Or undo your last tidy with one click.

Tidy Media Manager 2.0 New features - Relinked project: alongside your original, you get a _Tidy copy of your project that opens in Premiere with all media already linked to the tidied files. - Folder naming: keep bin names as they are, or make them UPPERCASE or Title Case. - Numbered folders: optionally number your top-level folders (01_, 02_…) in the order shown in the preview. - _Project Level Items folder: clips at the top level of your Project panel, outside any bin, get their own folder. - _Not in Project folder: anything in the consolidated folder that isn't part of the project goes into this folder, so nothing gets left behind. - Proxies and captions are tidied into the same folder as their clip and stay linked. - New help guide: Help → Tidy Media Manager Help now opens a clear, illustrated guide. Improvements - More accurate file matching: files are found even if you renamed clips in your bins, the upper/lower case differs (.MOV / .mov), or names contain accented characters. - Bins with the same name (e.g. an "Audio" bin in several places) can now be excluded or merged independently. - Much faster tidying: files on the same drive are moved instantly instead of being copied then deleted, so no extra disk space is needed. - Merging a bin with sub-bins now brings the sub-bins up with it. - Undo works even after quitting and reopening the app, and cleans up everything the tidy created. - Clearer results: any files that couldn't be moved are listed along with the reason. - More file types: every media type in your project is tidied, including BRAW, MTS, HEIC and others that were previously skipped. - Tidy Structure.txt now exactly matches what's on disk. - Large projects load more reliably. - Clear message if you select a Dropbox or iCloud project that hasn't been downloaded to your Mac. - Updated welcome tour, and a tidier options row above the preview. Fixes - Folder names: bin names containing : or / no longer create duplicate folders. - Update dialogs: "Check for Updates" now always shows a result. - Stray files: the app no longer leaves a .debug.xml file next to your project. - Removed: dropping files anywhere on the window. The three Choose buttons are clearer.
