LUT Lab is the easiest way to convert ICC profiles into 3D LUT files. This has many useful applications, the most common being calibrating external video monitors for DSLR and cinema cameras.
In most cases your workflow is:
- Create a color calibration on your Mac using a hardware tool like Calibright or Datacolor SpyderPro. These tools generate ICC profiles and save them to your color profiles folder.
- LUT-Lab converts those files into 3D LUT files you load back into your external monitor as a hardware calibration or look.
Accurate colors are key for so many workflows and processes, so don't just hope for accurate colors, ensure them!
