Take control of your Apple fleet. Track devices, monitor warranty and AppleCare coverage, and keep your ABM inventory in sync—all from your Mac.
ABM Warranty — Apple Business & School Manager Coverage, Simplified
ABM Warranty is a macOS utility designed for Apple IT administrators who manage devices through Apple Business Manager and Apple School Manager. It provides a fast, reliable way to view warranty status, AppleCare+ coverage, and device lifecycle details in a clean, modern macOS experience.
Built specifically for fleet environments, ABM Warranty connects directly to Apple’s official Business Manager APIs to retrieve accurate device and coverage data. Administrators can quickly understand the health and warranty posture of their entire fleet without switching between portals or manually checking serial numbers.
Whether you manage a small team, a school district, or a large enterprise environment, ABM Warranty helps you make informed decisions about device maintenance, renewals, and replacements — all from a single, intuitive dashboard.
Key capabilities include secure authentication with Apple Business Manager and Apple School Manager credentials, clear visibility into standard warranty and AppleCare+ coverage, and a unified inventory view for Macs, iPhones, iPads, and Apple TVs. Devices are organized with color-coded status indicators so expired, expiring, or attention-needed devices are immediately visible.
ABM Warranty also supports exporting device and warranty data to CSV for reporting, auditing, and integration with asset management workflows. The app is designed to remain responsive even when working with large fleets, giving administrators confidence in both performance and accuracy.
The interface is built with SwiftUI and optimized for macOS 15, offering a refined, modern look that feels native to the platform. From initial setup to daily use, workflows are designed to be clear, predictable, and transparent.
Privacy and security are core design principles. All data remains local to your Mac. ABM Warranty communicates only with Apple’s official Business Manager APIs and does not use third-party services, analytics, tracking, or cloud storage. Your fleet information stays private and under your control.
ABM Warranty is built for professionals who manage Apple devices at scale, including IT administrators, MDM engineers, managed service providers, enterprise support teams, and education or nonprofit organizations. It removes friction from warranty tracking and replaces guesswork with accurate, up-to-date information.
Requirements include macOS 15 or later and valid Apple Business Manager or Apple School Manager credentials with an authentication certificate.

Has potential

I fully appreciate the work that went into this and see its value especially to management and above for quick, pretty graphics. Unfortunately, no devices are being queried at all. I have used known-good ABM API creds that work with existing scripts, created new API creds to test, and even installed this on an unmanaged Mac to rule out company security settings. My ABM has 30k+ devices, maybe there’s rate-limiting logic that needs to be added since each individual device has to be queried on the 'appleCareCoverage' endpoint? I heard that endpoint is rate-limited to 20 per minute.
Developer Response
For larger deployments of devices (more than 1 page via the API so 50-100), the pagination will fail with the current code, we identified this as a formal bug and I am putting together a beta program via TestFlight for people who are willing to test that bug. If you would like to participate in the 0.2.0 to address this issue feel free to email jon@jonbrown.org and we will add you to the list. Thanks for your feedback!
Not pulling Data
OG Apple Guy
I tried setting this up. First issue. The instructions say to log into the ABM then go to “Apps and Books -> Access””. Under Apps and Books I did not see and access. I did find what I believe to be the correct location under Preference -> API. I generated an API Key, downloaded a .pem file and copied the Key ID and Client ID. I entered the Key ID and Client ID and uploaded the .pem file under the setting of the ABM Warranty app. After saving I made sure to use the “Validate Key” feature and received a popup that it had been validated successfully. I saw a “Fetching data” message. Once it was complete I still only showed me the “Demo data” that is displayed when you first fire up the app. I then quit the ABM Warranty app and restarted it. It did a quick “fetch”, but again only showed the demo data.I am just hoping there is something in the documentation that I missed, or it missing form the documentation as I would like to see this work.

With the new features in 0.51, I was able to upload PO Dates into my Jamf Pro system easily. Great work. Initially testing seems to be very positive.
