Mac
Powerful cloud/FTP client: tabs, S3/cloud storage, real-time sync, comparisons & advanced queue. Secure FTP, FTPS, SFTP connections.
OmniFile is a fast, secure file transfer client for the Mac. Work with servers, cloud storage and your own folders side by side in a dual-panel window with tabs.
Key features
• Every major protocol: FTP, FTPS (explicit and implicit, up to TLS 1.3), SFTP with key login, Amazon S3, Backblaze B2, Wasabi, DigitalOcean Spaces and other S3-compatible storage, Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive.
• Dual panels and tabs: keep several connections open at once and move files between panels, tabs and Finder with drag and drop.
• Reliable transfers: one queue for uploads, downloads and server-to-server copies, with automatic retries, safe resume and a queue that survives restarts. Every download is checked before it counts as done.
• Compare and sync: see at a glance what is newer, larger or missing on either side, then sync one way or both ways with a preview before anything changes.
• Find duplicates and similar photos: across local folders, servers and cloud storage.
• Preview before you download: images, PDFs, text and code with syntax highlighting, plus Quick Look.
• Site manager: organize connections in folders, see your history, and import or export FileZilla sites.
• Security first: passwords and tokens stay in the macOS Keychain, server identities are checked for SFTP, certificates are verified for FTPS, and local deletes go to the Trash.
• Made for macOS: native SwiftUI, light and dark mode, keyboard shortcuts, context menus, and "Edit with…" in your favorite app with automatic upload on save.
• Live activity log: follow every command and transfer as it happens.
Whether you're a developer, sysadmin, designer or anyone who works with servers and cloud storage, OmniFile gives you a professional, efficient file workflow on the Mac.
Ratings & Reviews

NEW
• SFTP key login: Ed25519, ECDSA and RSA keys, with or without a passphrase. Install your public key on a server, or generate a new key, straight from the Site manager.
• Explicit FTPS (AUTH TLS) next to implicit FTPS, with TLS 1.3 and the session reuse that strict servers require.
• Edit server files in any Mac app: right-click and choose Edit with, or press ⌘E. OmniFile uploads every save and asks before overwriting someone else's change.
• Download whole folders. Drag and drop in every direction: between panels, to and from Finder. Drags to or from a server copy; hold ⌘ to move, ⌥ to copy.
• Local folders update by themselves when files change, and server folders refresh when you return to OmniFile.
• Google Docs, Sheets and Slides download as Microsoft Office, OpenDocument or PDF files, as you choose in Settings.
• Redesigned Settings with a sidebar, and a choice of light, dark or system appearance.
• Save a quick-connect server to the Site manager with one click.
• Syntax-highlighted code previews, image thumbnails, and separate hidden-file settings for your Mac and for servers (⇧⌘. to switch).
• Active FTP mode, a default download folder, and new keyboard commands.
SAFER
• Moves remove the original only after the copy finished and was checked.
• Transfers resume only when OmniFile itself was interrupted, so a newer version of a file is never mixed with an old one.
• Downloads finish in a temporary file and replace yours only when complete and verified.
• A cut-off server folder listing is never treated as complete, so moves and sync never delete files they didn't see.
• Deleted local files go to the Trash, and OmniFile asks first.
• Folder sync stops instead of deleting anything if a listing fails, and shows which files failed and why.
• The duplicate finder never lets you delete every copy.
• Edits that weren't uploaded are never thrown away.
• Passwords, keys and tokens are stored only in the Keychain.
• OmniFile remembers each SFTP server's identity and asks if it changes. FTPS certificates are checked properly.
FIXED
• Real file dates from FTP and SFTP servers, so sync and comparison work.
• Clearer colors in folder comparison.
• SFTP errors say what went wrong, renames that only change letter case work, and connecting to an offline server fails right away.
• S3, Backblaze B2, Wasabi and DigitalOcean Spaces: folders with more than 1,000 files, file names with spaces and special characters, large uploads in parts, and the provider's own error messages.
• Google Drive, OneDrive and Dropbox: large folders listed in full, browsing at any depth, large uploads in chunks, and clear messages when a token has expired.
• Compress and extract work with unusual file names and never overwrite without asking. Archive previews no longer hang.
• FileZilla import keeps SFTP, FTPS, custom ports and folders. Connection history keeps your favorites.
• "New folder" in the right-click menu works, on your Mac and on servers.
• Many smaller fixes to search, previews, the transfer queue and the Site manager.
• Improved app icon.
