I just spent 2 hours after I bought and topped up a check in Seoul card and I experienced all the difficulties documented in the other reviews. I'm just draining the topped up cash at a convenient store and cutting up the card. just use the tmoney card for public transport. They sell these cards at 7-11 so go to CU25 and get your tmoney card

I purchased the card and put 50,000 won on it and realized after the card couldn't be used without the app and this multi step registration process for which the app did not work at all. This might be a scam, do yourself a favor don't buy the card or use the app.

This has been advertised to make it easier to be a foreigner in Korea. However, it is so different t to add your passport, purchase the debit card/esim and top up. Please make it easier so we can actually use the app.
- Card registration steps have been reduced. (VISA card registration remains the same as before)
- The time allowed to tap your card when refunding a transit card has been extended slightly.
- Photo upload speed in Trip Diary has been improved.
- App stability has also been improved.
