A reliability update that keeps your notes safe when you also edit them in Obsidian. YOUR NOTES ARE SAFER - Opening a note no longer erases changes made in Obsidian. Notes are now always read fresh from disk, so a pasted image or any other edit you made in Obsidian survives the next autosave. - Changes arriving from Obsidian or a sync service while a note is open are no longer missed, even when they land right after the app saves. - Notes that can’t be saved safely — a file still downloading from iCloud, or one in a non-UTF-8 encoding — now open read-only instead of risking being overwritten with the wrong content. FIXES & IMPROVEMENTS - When a note changes on disk while you have unsaved edits, the dialog now defaults to “Use Disk Version”, so pressing Return keeps the outside change. Your choice is also applied immediately, with no autosave slipping in while the dialog is open. - Image embeds no longer show the link popover, whose remove button could break the image.

A big reliability and polish release. NEW - Quick Capture targets — choose where a capture lands: a brand-new note, today’s daily note, or a single custom inbox note (e.g. Inbox.md) that every capture is appended to. - Redesigned first-run setup — a clear three-step flow that explains the app before asking for anything, and doubles as the repair path if vault access ever breaks. - Fuzzy search in the note switcher — typing “prjalpha” now finds “Project Alpha”, with the matched letters highlighted. - Unnamed notes now show their first heading in the switcher, so they’re easy to tell apart. YOUR NOTES ARE SAFER - Recent edits are no longer lost when you quit, hide the window, or switch notes right after typing. - A save that fails is no longer treated as saved — it’s retried instead of being silently dropped. - Emoji are no longer corrupted when removing bold formatting. - Typed dashes and quotes are no longer auto-corrected into curly quotes and em-dashes, so ---, code fences and YAML front matter stay exactly as you typed them. A MUCH NICER EDITOR - Text no longer flashes on every keystroke. - Far more readable spacing, with proper rhythm between headings, paragraphs and list items. - Formatting — bold, italic, lists, headings, checkboxes and link edits — is now undoable with ⌘Z. - The formatting toolbar and its keyboard shortcuts now behave identically. - Code blocks are left alone: no stray styling, and no accidentally clickable links inside code samples. - Links containing parentheses or spaces in the URL now work. - Smoother typing in long notes, and you can click anywhere on a checkbox marker to toggle it. SAFETY & ACCESSIBILITY - Links using unusual schemes now ask first and show the real destination, so a link’s label cannot hide where it actually goes. - Link previews no longer reach local or private network addresses. - Higher-contrast completed tasks with strikethrough, VoiceOver labels in the link popover, and Reduce Motion support.

New Features - Full-text search across note content — The note switcher (⌘P) now matches text inside your notes, not just filenames. Results include a highlighted snippet from the note body around the match, and the title is highlighted when the filename matches. Typing two or more words also falls back to matching every term anywhere in the note when the exact phrase isn’t found. - Custom Quick Capture separator — The daily-note Separator setting now includes a “Custom” option with a user-defined template. Tokens like `{HH:mm}`, `{yyyy-MM-dd}`, and `{EEEE}` are filled from the current date via `DateFormatter`, and `\n` / `\t` escapes turn into real newlines and tabs, so formats like `\n\n### {EEEE h:mma}\n\n` work alongside the built-in styles. A live preview shows the rendered result as you type.

New Features Editor footer with live metrics (#66) A new footer appears under the editor with your live word count, character count, and an estimated reading time at 200 words per minute. Use the small left icon to switch the footer to the markdown formatting toolbar, then tap again to return to the metrics. Your last choice is remembered. Export notes as PDF, HTML, or rich text (#68) Export your current note from the note menu (…): headings, bold and italic, lists, code, links, and blockquotes keep their formatting. Save as PDF or HTML, or copy as rich text to paste into Mail, Pages, and other apps. Press Command Shift E to export the current note as PDF right away. Improvements Adaptive formatting toolbar (#67) The formatting toolbar now works smoothly in narrower floating windows. If space runs out, buttons fold into a right-side overflow menu labeled with three dots, while the remaining buttons stay centered. Formatting actions stay available at a 300px minimum width without scrolling. Bug Fixes Checked task lines stay muted (#focus) Completed task items (for example, - [x]) no longer switch to full-strength text color when the floating window is focused. The muted style now uses a solid system color (tertiaryLabelColor) so it stays consistent even with background blur. HTML export fixes double-quote encoding If a URL includes a literal double quote, HTML export no longer creates a malformed href attribute.

Quick Capture → Daily Notes now matches Obsidian's daily-notes plugin: filename tokens dddd and ddd render as weekday names, and formats like YYYY/MM/YY-MMDD dddd create the intermediate year/month sub-folders. Repeat captures now place the cursor after the separator instead of at the top of the note. Daily Notes settings are now saved per vault, so different vaults can have different setups. New in Settings → Quick Capture: a "Follow Obsidian's Daily-Notes Config" toggle and an "Import from Obsidian" button that copies folder and filename format from your vault's daily-notes.json. Contact Support now includes hardware, locale, time zone, and your daily-note capture status so bug reports arrive with reproducible context.
