Your open tabs and unsaved edits return when you reopen NoteTabs. Keep a draft in a tab, then save it to a file when you're ready.
WORK WITH YOUR OWN FILES
Create, open, edit, and save text files directly on your Mac. Right-click an empty area in a Finder folder and choose “New File via NoteTabs…” to create an empty text file and open it in a new tab.
Set up the extension in Settings → Finder Integration. For iCloud folders, use Services → New File via NoteTabs… from the folder’s context menu.
Drag existing files from Finder into new tabs. Work with TXT, JSON, Markdown and CSV as plain text, without creating an account.
KEEP YOUR WORK IN ORDER
Switch between horizontal tabs, rename them and pin the notes you use most. Reorder your tabs, including pinned tabs within their group.
FIND IT. FIX IT.
Find and replace text, highlight matches, and move between results. JSON syntax highlighting makes keys, strings, and numbers easier to read.
MAKE WRITING COMFORTABLE
Choose your font and zoom, use light or dark mode, and keep a reference note visible with Always on Top. Line numbers, word wrap, line movement, and multi-line indentation help with everyday editing.

Use familiar keyboard shortcuts and choose the encoding and line endings your files need.
