Mr BITE: AI Nutrition Coach
Prep And Track Your Meals!
Free · In‑App Purchases
BITE is the nutrition app that does the thinking for you.
Most apps just count calories. BITE plans your meals, coaches you through them, and writes your shopping list. Say hello to Mr Bite, your AI nutrition coach.
MR BITE, YOUR AI COACH
Ask for a high protein lunch, a plan for the week, or a swap for something you do not fancy. Mr Bite answers in seconds, then builds it straight into your day.
MEAL PLANS BUILT AROUND YOU
Tell BITE your goals, your tastes and the foods you avoid. Get a plan shaped to your calories and macros, not a one size fits all template.
TRACK FOOD IN SECONDS
Snap a photo. Scan a barcode. Use your voice. Or search. However you log, it takes seconds.
YOUR DAY ON ONE SCREEN
Calories left, protein, carbs and fat, all in a single clean view.
RECIPES YOU WILL ACTUALLY COOK
Browse the recipe library or ask Mr Bite to create one that hits your numbers.
A SHOPPING LIST THAT WRITES ITSELF
Your week of meals turns into one organised list, sorted so you move through the shop fast.
TRACK YOUR PROGRESS
Watch your calories, macros and habits over time, so you can see what is working.
BITE is built on one idea. Eating well should be simple. You bring the goal. BITE plans it, tracks it, and shops for it with you.
BITE Coach (optional upgrade): get a proactive AI coach — daily check-ins, praise when you've earned it, weekly plans that adapt to how you actually eat, and deeper insights from your history. Everything else in BITE stays free, always.
Download BITE and let Mr Bite take it from here.

more Photo scans count what is on the plate, and get better as you correct them.
- Photo scans no longer add a hidden oil or butter row to every plate. Fat is counted where the photo shows it.
- Every food in a photo scan shows its own calories, and the total is the sum of the rows.
- Change an amount and that row and the total update straight away. Change or add a food and Re-estimate prices only those rows.
- Photo scans learn from your corrections. Rename a food once, or remove, add or trim one a couple of times, and the next scan takes it into account. The card tells you when it did.
- Changes to your plan or targets made on another device show up within a minute.

Recipes and plans move in with Mr Bite, and the food you log most is one tap away.
- Recipes and plans now live in the Mr Bite tab. A Chat, Recipes, Plans switch at the top moves between them, and Progress has its own button in the bar.
- Plans is one screen: this week, your shopping list, and every plan you have saved, in a single scroll.
- Your usual foods appear in the + panel, ordered for the meal you are logging. One tap logs the portion you had last time, and the toast offers Change when it was different.
- Exercise counts toward your day. Active energy and steps from your phone or watch, plus workouts you mention to Mr Bite, are added to that day's calories when you have done more than your usual week. The ring shows how much.
- Home shows one card at a time instead of stacking up to six on your first day.
- The + dock leads with Photo and Scan.
- Water can be shown in fluid ounces, with a Litres and Fluid ounces switch in the water sheet.
- Onboarding asks what Mr Bite should call you. Answer it or skip it.
- The targets card has one Adjust action, and it opens the same calorie calculator as the rest of the app.
- Coming back to your tabs is quicker: one data reload where there used to be three, and it waits for the back animation to finish.
- Mr Bite's welcome offers Type what I ate, which starts the sentence for you.
- Fixed: the waves in the water bottle settle instead of moving for as long as Home is open.

Start faster, and a new look on iOS 26.
- Start logging straight after the quiz. Create your account whenever you like and everything you have done comes with you.
- Setup is three questions instead of five. Activity and pace start at sensible defaults you can change any time.
- Your recommended targets appear on Today after your first meal, with Set my own and Adjust activity right there.
- After your first log, BITE books one reminder for the second, and drops it if you beat it.
- On iOS 26 the navigation bar, the top controls and Mr Bite's composer are Liquid Glass, with a selection that glides between tabs.
- Menus and the log panel are now solid and easier to read.
- The BITE Unlimited page shows the full timeline for both plans.
- Fixed: food logged on a day in a previous week could vanish after a reload. It stays now.

Log food from your home screen, and a friendlier first week.
- New home-screen widget: Manual, Voice, Photo and Scan tiles plus food search, one tap from your home screen. Add it from the widget gallery in small or medium size.
- A short guided tour of the key actions, in Mr Bite's voice, for new accounts, and on offer to existing ones.
- A better first week: recommended targets you can adjust, a clearer AI-processing consent step, and your first log straight from Mr Bite's welcome.
- BITE Premium can now be bought in the app, monthly or yearly, with Restore Purchases.
- Mr Bite can send a morning recap and a gentle evening reminder, controlled by the Notifications switch in More.
- Tell Mr Bite what you ate and it goes straight into your diary, no confirmation round.
- Google sign-in is more dependable, and a big under-the-hood upgrade makes startup faster and scrolling smoother.
1.14.0 Sep 17
A small update that makes photo-logged meals easier to get exactly right.
- Log the amount you actually ate: after a photo scan, the portion count now takes decimals — half a plate is 0.5, and you can type an exact figure like 0.75 straight into the stepper.
- The photo result sheet drops its empty amount field: the portion count is now the one control that scales a scanned meal, so there are never two steppers that disagree.
- Half portions stay half portions: a 0.5 you logged reopens as 0.5 instead of rounding up to a whole plate.
Plus a fix for a fresh photo scan occasionally inheriting the serving size of the meal you had open just before.
1.12.1 Sep 6
Smarter recipe imports, a portion-aware cooking stepper, and gentle nudges that help you keep your log going.
- Cook for exactly the number you need: the "Cooking for" stepper now sets the total portions, from 1 up, and the ingredient list scales with it — down as well as up, in clean kitchen fractions.
- Recipe imports get their numbers right: when the recipe's own page states nutrition facts, those win outright, and otherwise BITE now works the total out ingredient by ingredient instead of estimating the whole dish in one go.
- Paste a link and ask for a change — "make it dairy free", "I want this with a carb" — and BITE imports it in the background, keeps the untouched original out of your recipes, and comes back to offer your adjusted version once it has read the page.
- Daily log nudges: if yesterday went unlogged or today is still empty by midday, a short reminder helps the habit along. One Notifications switch in More controls everything.
- The manual log's ingredient builder now matches the photo and voice log editor, with a proper amount field for each ingredient.
Plus fixes for imported recipes that spell cup as "c.", and for a pasted recipe link occasionally being answered with suggestions for other recipes instead of the one you sent.
1.12.0 Sep 2
A new kitchen for your recipes, a weekly look at how your eating is going, and a faster, cleaner feel across the whole app.
- Food and Prep is now your kitchen hub: your recipes on browsable shelves, this week's plan at a glance with a chip for each day, a door straight into your shopping list, and an Add recipe tile.
- Weekly insights: BITE looks over your week of logging and gives you a short, personal read on how it went and what to try next.
- The Daily Targets calculator now speaks Mr Bite's language: he asks the questions, the result appears as your calorie ring counting up, and one tap explains how the numbers were worked out.
- Personalise a meal right inside a saved plan and swap your version into that day's slot, with the portion maths handled for you.
- Everything responds on touch: panels and menus start moving the moment your finger lands, so the app feels immediately quicker everywhere.
- A cleaner top of screen: one seamless surface owns the top bar, and a streak chip lives there — tap it to jump to your progress.
- Recipe filters are now a proper sheet you can drag down to dismiss, from the header or the list itself.
- Chat tidied up: the message box is part of the page, and the nutrition sources and disclaimer now live in the chat tools menu.
Plus fixes for the water tracker and other controls on Today not responding to taps, Google sign-in not working at all on some devices, Instagram recipe imports failing more often than they should, twin calorie rings drifting off centre after switching tracker styles, and a dark strip appearing across the top of each tab.
1.11.1 Aug 31
Your recipe versions gathered in one place, and an assistant that only claims what it actually did.
- Recipe versions, kept together: personalise or adapt a recipe and My Recipes now shows the whole family as a single card. Tap it to see the original alongside every version you have made.
- An Imported folder: your own link imports get their own tile in My Recipes, kept separate from the recipes you saved from the community.
- Personalise a meal inside a saved plan: open a meal from one of your plans, adjust it, and swap the personalised version straight back into that slot. The original stays in My Recipes either way.
- Mr Bite says what it actually did: a reply claiming something was saved or added is now checked against the work that really happened, so you no longer get a confirmation for a change that was never made.
- Imports that fail now tell you why: when a link cannot be turned into a recipe, Mr Bite says so in the chat and explains what was missing, instead of leaving you waiting on a recipe that is not coming.
Plus fixes for recipe suggestions being replaced by a "couldn't find anything" message when Mr Bite had already found them; asking Mr Bite to adjust a recipe failing on longer replies; the allergy question never reaching you; sign-in reporting a setup error during a brief network drop and signing you out while offline; the keyboard staying up when you tapped the log sheet outside a text box; and Google Health connecting accounts it could not actually sync.
1.10.0 Aug 23
Plans you can share, recipes you can filter, and numbers that stay where you put them.
- Share a plan, import a plan: send a saved meal plan as a link. Whoever opens it can bring the whole plan into their own week, and later edits to your copy never rewrite theirs.
- Filter for freezer and meal prep: both are now checked rather than taken from the page a recipe came from, so you can filter on them and trust the answer. Your own imports also join the cuisine filter.
- A rebuilt plan viewer: a saved plan now opens with its totals as rings against your daily targets, laid out by meal slot, with move, replace and remove on every row.
- See the food: every food picture — search results, recipes, plan details, log cards — taps open to full screen.
- A shorter start: the middle of onboarding is now a handful of quick steps, most of them a single tap.
Plus fixes for recent foods, averages, adherence and badges emptying every week; calorie targets reverting after you set them; imported recipes reporting a serving count the ingredients did not support; the keyboard crowding the ingredient list while logging; and sign-in on accounts that ask for a verification code.
