Mark song sections, loop any passage with a drag, and slow down without changing pitch — Auramea turns any video or audio into your practice-ready transcription studio.
Auramea is a media player designed for transcribing music from video or audio files.
Slow down playback while preserving pitch. Set precise loop points on the waveform to repeat difficult passages. Label song sections and jump between them instantly. Add bar lines to mark song structure and calculate tempo automatically. Transpose to match your instrument's tuning.
When you save a session, the media is copied into the document. The original file is not modified and can be moved or deleted.
FEATURES
• Waveform Display
Visual representation of audio with smooth zoom from full overview to sample-level detail.
• Section Markers
Press M to label song parts like verse and chorus. The Sections list beside the video jumps to any part and highlights the one you're in during playback.
• Loop Markers
Hold Shift and drag across the waveform to loop a passage, or set start and end points with I and O. Toggle looping with L.
• Variable Speed
Slow down to 25% while maintaining pitch quality using spectral processing.
• Transpose
Shift pitch up or down by semitones (±12 range) to match your instrument or preferred key.
• Bar Lines
Option-click on the waveform to place bar lines, or tap B in real-time during playback. BPM is calculated automatically from bar spacing.
• Piano Reference
A built-in piano keyboard for checking notes as you transcribe.
• Video Zoom
Click and drag on the video to zoom into fretboards, sheet music, or hand positions.
• Trim
Set trim markers to cut the session's media down to just the part you're working on.
• Sessions
Save your work as .auramea files including all markers, sections, zoom positions, and settings — even your window layout. Double-click a session in Finder to pick up where you left off.

Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
NEW
• Section Markers — press M to label song parts like verse and chorus. Markers appear on the waveform and in the new Sections list beside the video: click one to jump straight to it, and the section you're in stays highlighted while you play.
• Select a loop by holding Shift and dragging across the waveform.
• Your workspace — piano, video zoom, and panel layout — is now saved with each session.
• Double-click an .auramea document in Finder (or use Open With on media files) to open it directly.
IMPROVED
• Video zoom controls moved next to the video for quicker access.
• Much lower CPU use during playback and steadier memory with long videos.
• Saving a trimmed video now shows progress instead of freezing the app.
• Every playback control now shows a tooltip with its keyboard shortcut.
• The window shows the standard unsaved-changes indicator.
FIXED
• Quitting while a save is in progress can no longer lose work.
• Transpose on/off is now remembered in saved sessions.
• Pinch-zooming the waveform no longer jumps at the end of the gesture.
• Clear error messages when a document or media file can't be opened.
