Comment on the moment. Leave a comment at any point during a post, and it stays connected to that exact moment. See who’s commenting along the waveform, watch comments appear as you listen, and jump straight to any conversation with a tap. Share as video. Turn any post into a shareable video for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other social platforms, or save it directly to your gallery. Never lose a take. If Vocial closes before you publish, your recording will be waiting when you return, right where you left off. A fresh look. Pause while you record, gather your thoughts, and tap again when you’re ready to keep going. Once you’re done, preview your recording and publish. Every post now includes a transcript, so you can read along or catch up without sound, and longer posts can be summarized with a single tap. You can also download any of your own posts directly to your phone from the ••• menu. And everything feels quicker — Home, Buckets, Vault, and your profile open instantly when you return, new posts fade in smoothly, and playback feels better throughout the app.

Keep listening while you explore. • Now Playing, built into the tab bar — the post you're listening to sits right in the navigation, in Liquid Glass. Tap the circle to lift it above the bar. • Playback follows you — switch tabs or open another screen and the post keeps playing. Tap the pill to jump straight back to it. • A new recording Dynamic Island — see where your take is going, how long you've been talking, and stop with one tap. Stopping from the island takes you right to your recording. • The island now clears as soon as Vocial is closed mid-recording. • Share your profile — tap your avatar on your own profile, or use the menu on anyone else's. Fixes and polish • Countdown beeps before recording no longer go quiet on a silenced phone. • Signing out now stops anything that's playing. • Send and back buttons stay at the bottom as your comment or message grows. • Smoother performance on older iPads.

This is a big one. Direct Messages Conversations don’t always have to be public. You can now message people privately with text, voice messages, and photos — with replies, read receipts, typing and recording indicators, and the ability to unsend messages. Keep recording anywhere On iOS, recording can now continue while Vocial is in the background or your phone is locked. Follow your recording from the Dynamic Island or Lock Screen and stop it without reopening the app. Block & Report You can now block and report someone directly from their profile or a private conversation, with clear reporting options to help keep Vocial safe. And more We’ve improved playback and seeking, category navigation, messaging reliability, notifications, recording UI, and fixed a number of smaller issues throughout the app.

Noticeably faster This release is mostly about speed. Posting a recording uses half the data it did, screens open quicker, playback is steadier, and images load once and stay cached instead of being fetched again and again. Reply to a reply Conversations can go past two turns now. Every reply has a Reply button, a reply further down the thread names the person with an @, and the notification reaches the person you actually answered. A link on your profile Put one link under your bio — an Instagram, a shop, your own site. A lot of visual polish Titles, spacing, icons and transitions across the app, tidied up. Plus the usual round of fixes.

Setting a profile photo works again, on signup and on your profile. The guest home no longer freezes after locking the phone. Shared links open the right post on Android. Plus smaller fixes to the record button and empty profiles.

Explore without an account Vocial now opens straight into the app. Browse voices, buckets and profiles, listen to whatever you like, and sign in only when you want to record, like or follow. No wall on your first launch. Shared links open in the app Tap a vocial.app link and it opens in Vocial instead of the browser, right on the post. Profiles listen like the feed Profiles scroll one post at a time, and once you start playing something it carries on through the whole profile — put a voice on and keep listening. Better sounding recordings New recordings are captured at a higher sample rate, so voices come through fuller and clearer. Audio now keeps playing in the background, with playback controls available from the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. We’ve also introduced Liquid Glass support for iOS 26, redesigned the bottom navigation, improved audio loading and waveform scrubbing, and made feeds, Explore, and Profiles faster. Plus, improved comment and like accuracy, better connection handling, and plenty of smaller fixes throughout the app.
