What’s new in 2.0: Notes that find you (the headline feature). Every note remembers the app you wrote it in. When you switch back to that app, a small card slides in under the menu bar showing those notes. The popover can also filter to just that app’s notes. No other notes app does this, and it grows out of the app-tagging NoteZoom already had. Quick Capture. Press ⌃⌥N in any app, type, press Return. It never takes focus from the app you’re in. ⌘Return saves it as a checklist instead. Dictation using on-device speech recognition. Sticky notes that float above every window, on every Space and in full screen, and reopen after a restart. Focus timer: live countdown in the menu bar, notifications, a daily streak, and pause/resume that’s accurate even if the Mac sleeps.
