A Jellyfin server is required to use JellyKids. The app connects to your own Jellyfin server so your family stays in control of your personal media library.

I set it up for my 9 year Callie. She can go to all of my approved media without me worrying. The time allowances has stopped us arguing when to turn off the electrics and have family time.

It’s a great idea and I appreciate it existing, but my kids keep running up to me with issues so much I’m done using it. It’s supposed to be easy for kids, but it just frustrates them and me. For example, auto play stops working after the first auto play. No suggestions load either so they have to go to the Home Screen and navigate all the way back to where they were. Also videos just don’t work sometimes. I need to force quit the app. Also if you have a pin set and the kid accidentally clicks on settings, there’s no back button to cancel it. You need to tap where it says to do math and that prompt has a cancel button. Overall, pay for Infuse or something.

Can’t get through setup

After adding my server it prompts me with a simple math problem which I cannot hit submit on the answer as the keyboard covers the button and there’s no enter key. I sent an email about this a week ago with no reply from the dev.
