Then the board is yours, and it goes a little easier on you for your first few runs. Home, then How to play, replays them. MISSIONS Three missions now sit above the board. Finish one and it fills gold, pays you a shard and taps back, and a fresh one takes its place. The next of the same kind asks a little more: a whole column, then two in one run. If one is too much, it eases off after a few runs. YOUR TAPS COME HOME Tap and the counter drops. Win the tap back and you watch it fly home: free taps, the cross's payback, missions and the bonus-tap target all send their taps flying into the counter. A SIMPLER SCORE Your score is the number of charges you clear. The streak multiplier is gone, and the bonus-tap target now sits in the header: clear that many charges, bank three taps. SHARDS, MADE SIMPLE One mission, one shard. Themes are priced in shards, and the first one is free on your third mission. Out of taps with a mission nearly done? Keep going: three more taps for three shards, once a run. Shards from earlier versions carry over, rescaled to the new prices. AND MORE A new home screen and a new icon. A Stats screen that counts every row, column and cross you have ever cleared. A cleaner result card with real buttons. Bigger switches in Settings, an easier reminder time, and a Reset progress option. The app now asks once, at launch, whether ads may use tracking. Challenges, and a word about ads. CHALLENGES Every run now has a goal with a name: clear a whole row, start a combo, clear eight in one tap. It sits under the board while you play. Land it and the card lights up, pays you shards, and the next challenge is already waiting. Some of them unlock a theme on the spot, and the board changes colour under your thumb. A NEW ONE EVERY DAY Beside the ladder there is a daily challenge, the same for everyone on the same date, worth extra shards. THEMES ARE EARNED Every theme now has a challenge that unlocks it. Shards still buy them if you would rather not wait. NEW SOUNDS Every sound in the game is new: glass and bell tones, all in one key, so a big clear rings instead of buzzing. DOUBLE YOUR SHARDS When a run ends with shards earned, the result card can offer a button to watch a short ad and double them. It is optional, it appears once per run, and the card works exactly as before if you ignore it. ADS BETWEEN RUNS This version adds an occasional full-screen ad when you start a new run. It never appears during a run, never in your first few runs, never right after a new best, and never twice within a minute and a half. More of every run pays you back. BONUS TAPS, SOONER The first score milestone now sits at 2,000 instead of 5,000, and each one still banks three extra taps. Most runs reached the old mark only rarely, so the tap you earned for a good run mostly never came. Now it does — and a strong run keeps stretching well past twelve taps. THE COMBO SHOWS UP The multiplier now builds on any clear of seven or more, down from eight. The streak, the rising heat behind the board and the multiplier in the centre of the readout are part of an ordinary run now, not something you only saw on your best one. It still craters on a small clear or a blocked tap. A BIG MOVE ON EVERY OPENING BOARD Every run starts on a board where at least one tap clears seven or more. The first tap of a run should show what a tap can do. A HINT WHEN YOU ARE STUCK New to the grid? If you pause on a board, the charge with the biggest clear on it glows gold underneath. Tap the glow to see a big clear happen. The hint retires for good once you land a big clear of your own.
