Mark II is a smart bookmark that captures your physical notes and ideas, and turns it into organized insights for you to revisit later
CAPTURE WITHOUT LEAVING THE PAGE
Scan a passage and it's saved, at 99% text accuracy, with any missing letters or words reconstructed automatically. Or hold to record a voice note instead. No unlocking your phone, no typing, no losing the thread of the chapter.
It works across your whole reading life — hardcovers, paperbacks, printouts, research papers, Kindle, iPad, and handwriting (beta). 30+ languages.
A LIBRARY THAT BUILDS ITSELF
Scan a book's ISBN once (beta) and everything you capture from then on files itself under the right title. No folders to design, no tags to maintain, nothing named twice. Over months, it becomes a catalogue of what you've actually read — not a system you have to keep feeding.
FIND THE QUOTE YOU HALF-REMEMBER
Search for a fragment and get the passage back with its source. Filter by topic, theme, or the moment you captured it. Copy it straight into whatever you're writing.
TALK TO WHAT YOU'VE READ
Chat with your own highlights and annotations. Trace an idea across different books. Ask about the thing you know you read but can't place. Mark AI answers from what you've captured and nothing else — it won't invent a passage, and it won't summarize a book you never opened.
FITS THE SYSTEM YOU ALREADY HAVE
Integrations with Readwise, Notion, and many more apps to come. Mark isn't asking you to move in. It's asking you to feed what you've already built.
WORKS WHEREVER YOU READ
Bluetooth only — pairs like AirPods. Captures save on the device when you're out of range and sync the moment you're back. A single USB-C charge lasts about a week of heavy reading.
YOUR NOTES, HELD CAREFULLY
Highlights and voice notes are encrypted and stored on AWS in North America. We don't hold personally identifiable information alongside your library, and you can request deletion of your data at any time.
WHO IT'S FOR
Students who annotate. Researchers who cite. Readers who underline in pencil and mean it. Anyone who has closed a book and been unable to say what was in it.
WHAT'S FREE
Downloading Mark is free, and so is everything core: highlighting, audio capture, auto-organization, and basic AI chat. An optional subscription unlocks the heavier AI features and advanced integrations.
REQUIREMENTS
The Mark II device is required for scanning and voice capture. Each device pairs to one account at a time. iOS only.

Wow. I’ve always loved reading, but as our world has become increasingly digital, it’s always felt like there’s a gap between physical books and the accessibility of technology and broader world information. I feel like this little product and app bridges the gap beautifully. It has made reading feel more engaging, insightful, and fun as a result. I think for the app being so new, it’s incredibly polished, but there’s some areas where it could be better. For example, the ‘Edit Book’ option allows you to change the cover, but only with a photo of your book or generic colored templates. I think it would be incredibly helpful to be able to grab a photo from the web of a books cover, because sometimes the database doesn’t have the same cover as the version I own, and it’d be great to have a polished looking version of the cover that fits the look of the app, rather than a slipshod photo from my phone. I’d also like to be able to edit titles of books, because I’ve added 7 books now, and 6 of them are uncapitalized, which drives a grammar-police reader like me crazy lol. A few other things I’d love to see:- Interactive 3D rotate-able book covers, like how the Cibby app has for physical games. That would turn this app up to a million and go viral for book lovers. No one has anything like that for books- Dark Mode- Craft Docs Integration- More info on individual books, almost like a profile for each book similar to how Apple Books has it, or at least a hyperlink to Apple Books - Ability to manually add typed notes for books, not everything should have to flow through the Mark II itself, makes the app feel limited- A lock screen pomodoro style live activity timer
