New detail pages on Apple TV, iPhone and iPad: season tabs and an episode shelf, Trailers & Extras, and an About section. Simpler Settings, grouped into six pages, with your playlist's name up front. A new look for the welcome screens and for adding and choosing a playlist. Also: moving stadium backgrounds in Sports on Apple TV, and after playback your iPhone returns to the orientation you started in, even with rotation lock on. Plus bug fixes.

One title, every version: when your playlist lists the same movie, series or channel several times (other languages, 4K, FHD, HD), they now show up as one. Play starts the version you watched last. Choose another on the detail page or in the player. You can turn this off in Settings > Library. Smoother playback: fewer needless loading spinners and reconnects, offline channels show an error sooner, and the controls are back when you return to a paused video. Also: the Audio and Subtitles menus in the iPhone and iPad player work reliably, plus bug fixes.

Faster with large playlists: the app opens sooner, uses less memory, and Movies, Series and Live TV scroll more smoothly. On iPhone and iPad, search shows the best matches in each section. Tap View More to see them all. New in Settings: Feedback & Support. Report a problem or send an idea. Add your email only if you want a reply. Apple TV Top Shelf now shows up reliably. Also: bug fixes.

New Sports tab: today's games with live scores, plus a row for each league and team you follow. Open a game to watch it on a channel from your own playlist. In the player, change quality, switch channels or move to another game without leaving. Multiview can show several games side by side. New here? A short welcome walks you through adding your playlist. On Apple TV, you can add it from your iPhone instead of typing on the TV. Steadier live playback with fewer stalls. Apple TV Top Shelf now updates with what you're watching. Also: smoother Actor pages and bug fixes.

Collections are here. Movies and Series now lead with curated collection banners — themed line-ups that rotate. Episode collections play straight from the banner. New Trending and Popular rows sit alongside your own categories. Categorize by Genres now runs in the background. A progress pill keeps you posted while you carry on browsing, and Apple TV no longer stalls during a scan. Also: smoother browsing and bug fixes.

Settings > Playback now has a Player Engine picker. The new AetherEngine beta uses Apple's decoder for better HDR, Dolby Vision, AV1 and interlaced channels. It is off by default and applies to the next video you open.

Top Shelf on Apple TV. Continue Watching and Favorites now appear on the Apple TV Home screen. Pick one and it opens straight in the app. The app also uses much less memory while you browse on Apple TV, so it stops quitting on large playlists. Fixed a freeze when leaving a video, and category rows that could stall while loading. Posters and logos look sharper on iPhone.

Fixes for browsing on Apple TV. Also a tidier Continue Watching card on iPhone, and a fix for category rows that could load forever.

A fresh new look across the app, skip intro/recap/outro buttons, catch-up playback for supported providers, playlist loading progress with Cancel on Apple TV, better landscape layout for the episode list, plus stability and memory fixes.
