Walk into a classic you have never read, and emerge as someone who has. Entangled is an interactive reading experience where you step directly into pivotal scenes of classic literature rather than reading summaries.
■ Stage: Step into the Heart of the Classics
Penelope by the loom unweaving the shroud in the dead of night, Gregor Samsa behind a locked door having missed the five o'clock train, or Raskolnikov in his feverish attic before peeling yellow wallpaper. Enter 502 classic works and 1,051 distinct scenes. Instead of plot recaps, you arrive where time, place, and tension are already fixed.
■ Choice, Action, and Resistance
Each turn presents three choices, or you can speak directly. Type action stage directions between asterisks (*) to take command of the moment. Characters do not simply comply. They read the desire in your choices and push back, creating sharp literary tension.
■ Verbatim Footnotes: The Author's Exact Words
Beneath every character's response, a verbatim footnote cites the author's actual text from a database of 42,261 original passages, complete with translation and exact volume/chapter citations. These are never invented quotes—you encounter the precise sentences written by Homer, Kafka, Dostoevsky, Austen, Shakespeare, Dante, Cervantes, and Akutagawa.
■ Adaptations: Where Completed Stories Remain
Play three or more turns on Stage, and your encounter is woven into a short story collected under Adaptations. Adaptations gathers both the scenes you resolve on Stage and the stories crafted from your daily conversations. Revisit and share the classics you entered and the original passages that resonated.
■ Chat: Conversation Beyond the Stage
Choose a literary figure outside the scenes and converse freely. Nothing vanishes. At your designated time (default 21:30), the day's exchange is composed into a micro-story that joins your Stage adaptations.
