Strength Training Plan & Log
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPhone. Not verified for macOS.
New: share any workout as a story-ready card with your muscle map, PRs and stats. Plus a weekly streak complication for your Apple Watch face. No account.
Your strength training deserves an app that works as hard as you do. GymStreak is your native workout tracker for iPhone and Apple Watch — fast, private, and account-free. Track unlimited workouts free; Pro unlocks unlimited routines and full analytics.
YOUR ROUTINES. YOUR PLAN. YOUR PROGRESS.
Build tailored training routines from a rich exercise library spanning 20+ muscle groups. Configure every set with reps, weight, and rest — exactly the way your training demands.
YOUR AI COACH — RIGHT ON YOUR DEVICE
GymStreak analyzes your own training data with Apple Intelligence and gives you clear, fact-based insights:
– A short recap right after every workout
– A review across the week, month, or year
– A deep-dive into how each exercise is progressing
– A comparison of every workout against your previous session
Everything is computed entirely on your iPhone. Your data never leaves your device.
PROGRESSIVE OVERLOAD THAT THINKS AHEAD
Set a rep range for any exercise (e.g. 8–12). Once you hit the top of the range across every set, GymStreak automatically suggests a weight increase — following the proven Double Progression model. One tap, and your plan grows with your strength.
SUPERSETS FOR MAXIMUM INTENSITY
Combine exercises into supersets. GymStreak detects your rounds automatically and only starts the rest timer once every exercise in a round is done.
APPLE WATCH — FULLY STANDALONE
Train completely independently of your iPhone. Your routines sync automatically, and you get full tracking right on your wrist:
– Real-time heart rate and calories
– Complete sets with the Action Button (Apple Watch Ultra) or Double Tap
– Automatic finish after your final set
– Completed workouts transfer to your iPhone automatically
– Reliable recovery: even if the app is terminated, your active workout is never lost
INTELLIGENT WORKOUT TRACKING
Start a workout straight from your routine and track every set in real time:
– Automatic rest timer between sets
– Adjust reps and weight right inside the workout
– Add, remove, or swap in an alternative exercise when a machine is taken
– Workout summary with duration, volume, and calories
LIVE ACTIVITIES & DYNAMIC ISLAND
Your rest timer runs right on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. A notification brings you back in time for the next set — even when the app is in the background.
MAKE PROGRESS VISIBLE
Track your development with interactive charts:
– Max weight
– Estimated 1RM (one-rep max)
– Training volume (weight × reps)
TEMPLATES THAT GROW WITH YOU
Push your adjustments back into the routine template after every workout, so your plan always reflects your current level.
PLAN YOUR WEEK
Schedule your routines by cadence or on fixed weekdays. Your weekly goal adapts automatically to your plan. Switch on calendar sync and your training plan appears right in Apple Calendar, alongside everything else in your week.
APPLE HEALTH & ICLOUD
Every workout syncs seamlessly with Apple Health and contributes to your activity rings. With iCloud, your data stays safe and up to date across all your devices.
PRIVACY FIRST
No account, ever. Your training data belongs to you and syncs only through your personal iCloud account — we never see it.
FREE, AND GYMSTREAK PRO
Tracking is free for up to 3 routines unlimited: workouts, sets, the Apple Watch app, supersets, rest timers, Apple Calendar sync, Apple Health and iCloud sync. Nothing you have already created is ever taken away.
Pro adds:

more Show off your training and get more from your Apple Watch.
- Share your workouts: turn any finished or past workout into a story-ready image with your muscle map, PRs and stats. You choose what to show.
- Save to Photos: one tap puts the image straight into your library, ready to post.
- Share conditioning sessions too, with your rounds and, when Apple Health has your heart rate, your time in each heart-rate zone.
- Apple Watch: adjust weight and reps with the Digital Crown. Tap the value to unlock the Crown; it locks itself again after 3 seconds so an accidental turn never changes your numbers.
- Apple Watch: new weekly streak complication shows your streak and this week's progress right on your watch face, and updates as soon as you finish a workout.
- Apple Watch: new "Open GymStreak" complication to jump into the app from any watch face.
1.1.20 2d ago
- Import your workout history from Strong or Hevy. Settings → Import, choose the CSV file the other app exported, check the preview, and your past workouts appear in History, progress charts and records. Pick a period, decide whether new exercises join your library, and import the same file again without duplicates.
- New: a round timer for sparring and class rounds. Presets for BJJ, MMA, boxing and Muay Thai or your own rounds, a bell at every round start and end, a warning before the end, and it rings even with your phone on silent. Follow the rounds on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, and save them as a mat session afterwards.
- Log mat and sparring sessions. Record them live on Apple Watch with your heart rate, or add them on iPhone with sport, time and intensity. They appear in History and in Apple Health.
- Apple Watch: the round timer runs on your wrist without the iPhone, and the workout summary now tells you when a workout has been saved on your iPhone.
- History shows supersets grouped in a workout's detail, with the same letters and colours they had during the workout.
- The first-launch tour now asks how you train and can start you with the Fighter Strength program.
1.1.19 Oct 19
- New: Programs. Add a ready-made training plan in one tap: Beginner Full Body, Push / Pull / Legs, or Fighter Strength for combat athletes. Its routines join your list, can be planned around your recovery, and are free without using your routine slots.
- Each program comes with a guide: the next two weeks of workouts, how to train it (effort, start weight, when to add weight or back off) and the research behind it. Deleted one of its routines? Restore it from the same page.
- The Routines tab now shows a Programs shelf, groups each program's routines under its name, and tells you which program "Up next" belongs to.
- Build supersets right while creating a routine: link two exercises, split them apart again, and move a superset as one block.
- Five new power exercises in your library: Box Jump, Jump Shrug, Hang Power Clean and two medicine-ball throws.
- AI Coach: when a drafted routine names an exercise you don't have yet, create it right from the picker with the name and sets already filled in.
- Fixed: content no longer scrolls visibly under the clock on screens without a top bar.
1.1.18 Oct 3
- New: Conditioning for fighters. Pick an interval or aerobic session (run, bike, rower, swim or sled), follow a guided timer with sound and vibration cues, and see your personal heart-rate target based on your own zones. Every session is saved to Apple Health and shows up in your History.
- New: a 12-week conditioning program that plans each week around your lifting and suggests today's session. Start it right from your workout summary, or run it on Apple Watch with haptic cues and live heart rate. Phase 1 is free.
- New: build a routine just by describing it. Tell the Coach something like "Push day: bench press 3 sets of 8 at 60 kg", or just "chest day" and answer its questions. Review and edit the draft, then create it and it is on your watch too.
- New: training reminders. Plan a routine and Gym Streak can remind you on the morning of each session, with a gentle nudge if a planned workout slips by. At most one a day, never during a workout.
- The first-run tour can now be swiped, and it no longer ends with a subscription offer.
- Fixes: exercises and the example routine no longer appear twice after reinstalling, and the Coach no longer mixes up names like incline and flat bench press.
1.1.17 Sep 30
Stability and behind-the-scenes improvements.
1.1.16 Sep 10
- New: a short tour on first launch. It introduces routines, supersets, automatic weight increases, your workout history and the AI Coach using real screens rather than illustrations. Skip it any time.
- Your routines now show the muscles they train: front and back body maps with planned set counts per muscle. Tap a muscle to see exactly which exercises hit it, and watch the map update as you edit the routine.
- Building a routine is smoother: tapping an exercise you already added now opens the same modern screen as adding one, with the sets, volume and rest summary, quick set schemes and rest-timer presets. You can also change an exercise's rep goal before the routine is saved.
- Raise a weight mid-workout and the confirmation now names it ("Increased to 18 kg") instead of just saying the sets were adjusted.
- AI Coach improvements: your recap counts the sets you actually completed instead of the ones you planned, the workout analysis no longer repeats the same exercise as several highlights, and it still finds a routine's history after you rename it.
- German fixes: Health permission dialogs now appear in German on German devices, on both iPhone and Apple Watch, and several texts that were stuck in German for English users are corrected.
1.1.15 Sep 7
Your planned workouts can now live right in Apple Calendar.
- New: Sync to Apple Calendar. Switch it on in Settings and Gym Streak gets its own calendar showing your planned workouts, on your iPhone, iPad and Mac. It follows your plan: train a day late and the upcoming entries move with you. Switch it off and the calendar goes with it — your other calendars are never touched.
- The Apple Watch rest timer now shows what your next set asks for right above the countdown: the weight, the reps, and the exercise name whenever the next set belongs to a different exercise.
- Long exercise names on the Apple Watch are no longer cut off. Names use the full width of the row and scroll gently while you train, so you can tell barbell and dumbbell variants apart. Muscle groups now appear in your language too.
- Set rows in a routine are tidier. The units sit once as column headings above the list, so reps and weight always fit — including converted weights and supersets on smaller iPhones.
- The routine list now updates the moment a workout arrives from the Apple Watch, and starting a workout opens at the very top of the exercise list.
- The AI Coach chat now shows how many free messages you have left as soon as you open it.
- Fixed on Apple Watch: a rest time you changed just before ending the workout is no longer lost, ending during a rest no longer flashes a dead timer, and the pulsing workout icons hold still with Reduce Motion.
1.1.14 Sep 4
Pounds are here, plus a much more trustworthy AI Coach.
- New: switch weights between kilograms and pounds in Settings → Units. Everything follows — active workouts, the set editor, routine building, your history, the progress charts, personal records and volume totals — with real pound plate steps (+1.25, +2.5, +5, +10 lb). Switching back leaves your logged numbers exactly as they were.
- Your unit reaches the Apple Watch too: every weight, the +/− buttons and the Digital Crown now follow your setting.
- The AI Coach is far more accurate. It writes in your unit and your language's number format, describes exactly the exercise variant you selected, builds records and headlines from your logged sets instead of writing them itself, and no longer invents numbers or dates. Existing analyses are refreshed once.
- New here? The Routines tab now starts you off with a ready-made full-body routine showing rep ranges, a superset and per-exercise rest times. It doesn't use up one of your three free routines.
- Faster and smoother: the Routines tab opens and scrolls noticeably quicker, and the app stays responsive while a large iCloud sync runs.
- Fixed several crashes — deleting workouts from History, editing routines during a history rebuild, and discarding a workout while its recap was still being prepared.
- Fixed: Settings now tells you when iCloud sync is genuinely stuck instead of quietly saying "Waiting", you're told when a routine change couldn't be saved, and deleting a workout from Apple Health works again after a reinstall.
1.1.13 Aug 31
This update makes your progress charts tell the truth about how you actually train.
- New: chart one variant of an exercise at a time. If you train something heavy in one routine and light in another, each now reads as its own clean progression instead of one line jumping between them — and "All usages" still shows the combined view.
- You can now add the same exercise to a routine more than once, each entry with its own sets and rep goal. Handy for a heavy and a light block in the same session.
- Workouts recorded on the iPhone now save to Apple Health properly: they appear under your routine's name with the correct duration, and deleting one offers to remove it from Health too.
- The exercise screen opens on a timeframe that actually has data, and record, trend and workout count each state the range they describe — no more empty chart sitting above a full list of recent sets.
- Two exercises with the same name are finally told apart by their equipment, in the progress list, the exercise switcher and the detail screen. Older workouts that could not be matched can now be assigned to the right exercise.
- "Recent Sets" shows every time you trained an exercise in a workout, labelled with the rep range and routine it came from.
- Swiping from the left edge to go back now works on the exercise, recap and exercise info screens.
- Fixed a crash that could close the app shortly after launch while it was contacting your Apple Watch, plus a mixed-up mini chart for assisted pull-up and dip machines.
1.1.12 Aug 26
Gym Streak Pro is here — and tracking your workouts stays free and unlimited.
- New: Gym Streak Pro. It adds unlimited routines (free keeps 3), the full progress charts with 1RM, volume and the 1-year and all-time ranges, fixed weekday schedules, and unlimited AI Coach chat, recaps and exercise deep-dives.
- Tracking stays free: logging your workouts and keeping your full history remain unlimited, and nothing you already created is ever taken away.
- A thank-you for early users: if you installed Gym Streak before this update, you get Gym Streak Pro free, forever. A one-time welcome screen confirms it.
- Settings has a new subscription section showing your current plan, with restore purchases and a management screen where you can cancel or request a refund.
- Locked features now explain what Pro adds and offer the upgrade instead of simply blocking you.
- The control between two exercises is now called "Superset", and the German app says "Supersatz" throughout.
- Apple Watch: turn the Digital Crown during a rest to change its duration in 5-second steps, or long-press the rest pill for a -15 / +15 stepper. Choose whether the change applies to this rest only or to the whole exercise.
- Apple Watch: keep a rest time you liked — finish with "Save & Update Template" and the new duration is stored in your routine on iPhone too.
- Apple Watch: the workout and rest screens now fit the smallest watches (40 mm), so the Complete and Skip buttons are never cut off again.
- New Settings tab: all app settings now live behind the gear icon, including AI Coach, your iCloud sync status, "Rate app" and "Contact support".
- Much smoother with a long workout history: progress charts, the AI Coach chat, finishing a workout and opening a past one no longer freeze while your data is gathered.
- The "increase weight?" suggestion now stays put above the rest bar, names its exercise, and waits until you act on it.
- Fixed: missing built-in exercises are restored after a reinstall, and duplicate exercises in a routine no longer share one comparison row.
1.1.11 Aug 24
