AstroPlotorium is a planetarium and a 3D atlas of the sky and the solar system. Choose a star, planet, moon, comet, or nebula, then look at that same object from the sky above your city, a star chart, a table of positions, or a model of space. Ask an AI assistant to drive that view. Turn on MCP Server (localhost) in the home menu, then connect Cursor, Claude Desktop, or Claude Code. Say it in ordinary language: show the Moon in 3D, step the clock forward a day, hide the constellation lines. The assistant uses the same commands as a script — the target, the field of view, the clock, the place, the layers, and the main view — and it drives the app that is already open. The server stays on this computer. Set a city, or paste a latitude and longitude. Watch the local horizon, sunset, and a planisphere for that place. Move the clock by minutes, hours, days, or years. Read coordinates, rise and set, and a short ephemeris. Turn stars, names, constellation lines, and grids on or off. The object stays selected when you change the place, the time, or the view. Fly through a scaled solar system, the nearby stars, and a model of the Milky Way, or hover above a planet. Compare a planet or a star with the Sun at the same scale. Save a screenshot, or run a short presentation with the toolbars hidden. You can also write a short JavaScript tour in the script console and play it whenever you teach or present. For students, teachers, and anyone who wants a name in a catalog to match a place in the sky and a place in space.
