Room Board turns your Apple TV into a room-by-room control panel for Home Assistant: lights, climate, curtains, locks and cameras, all from your remote. Requires your own Home Assistant server.
WHY ROOM BOARD
Built for Apple TV: This is not a stretched phone app. Room Board is designed for the TV screen with fast launch, smooth focus navigation, and a calm layout that feels natural on a large display.
Direct and private: Your access token and home data stay on your device, and Room Board connects directly to your Home Assistant server. To improve the app, it also sends anonymous usage statistics, such as which features are used and whether connecting succeeded. They are not linked to your identity and never include device names, rooms, server addresses, or tokens.
Room-first control: See and control the devices that matter in each room at a glance, including lights, curtains, thermostats, fans, media players, switches, locks, sensors, and cameras.
GREAT FOR
Living-room wall dashboards
Quick climate and thermostat control
Checking camera, door, and sensor status from the TV
Replacing slower web-based control panels with a native tvOS experience
Note: A running Home Assistant instance is required to use this app.
Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
Connecting is easier. If the server address doesn't work, Room Board now tells you why and what to change: wrong http/https, a .local name that can't be found, or a reverse proxy that isn't answering. Nabu Casa addresses use https automatically, and a home-network address without a port is retried on :8123. Settings now has a "Rate Room Board" entry.
