OpenGiving: Shop & Fundraise
Shop and fund real campaigns
Only for iPhone
Free · Designed for iPhone. Not verified for macOS.
Buy and sell goods, digital downloads and services. Sellers send 5-100% of each sale (0-100% for a digital item) to the campaign they choose. Or contribute directly.
OpenGiving is the marketplace that funds what matters. Buy and sell physical goods, digital downloads and freelance services—and sellers send a share of every sale to a campaign they choose.
OpenGiving is personal fundraising and commerce. Campaigns are created by individuals for their own needs: a medical bill, an emergency, a move, a school trip. Contributions go to the person running the campaign. They are not charitable donations, they are not tax-deductible, and OpenGiving is neither a nonprofit nor a platform for nonprofit fundraising.
HOW IT WORKS
SHOP & SUPPORT
Browse goods, instant digital downloads and services from independent sellers. You see the exact share going to the campaign before you pay.
CONTRIBUTE DIRECTLY
Back a campaign you believe in with a secure, one-tap contribution. Track your history and see exactly where your money went.
SELL FOR A CAMPAIGN
List anything you can sell: things you no longer need, files you have made, or your own time and skills. You choose the campaign, and you choose how much of each sale it receives—at least 5% on goods and services.
START A CAMPAIGN
Create a fundraising campaign for what you need. Get a unique campaign ticker and invite supporters to list products on your behalf.

more Opengiving helped raise money through a completely new channel where as traditional fundraising sites only accepted “cash”. I really like how they found a transparent way to conduct their business, I know exactly who the money I donated is going to and how much!

Businesses are here. A business or nonprofit can sell and raise funds under its own name, with a Business badge wherever it appears and a 501(c)(3) badge once an admin has checked it. Open a business's GivingProfile from any of its items to see what it has contributed and the campaigns it supports, and follow it. Your own business sits under My Business in the menu.

Your GivingProfile now starts with what you've generated and how. Listing photos open full screen, with swipe and zoom.

Counting where buying gets stuck
The app now counts each step of buying, and each visit to a campaign or listing page, so we can see where people stop before paying and fix what's in their way.
The counts are anonymous. No account, name, email or internet address is kept with them, and nothing is saved on your phone. Our Privacy Policy describes them.
1.19.0 Oct 9
A photo on every campaign and listing
Creating a campaign or a listing now asks for at least one photo before you can post it. People choose what to open by what they see first, and a title over a blank card didn't give them much to go on.
A new campaign or listing is visible only to you until its first photo is up. If a photo doesn't upload, the app tells you and takes you to add one.
My Campaigns and My Listings mark anything still waiting for a photo, with a button to add it.
Every campaign and listing keeps at least one photo. To change the only one, add the new photo first, then remove the old one.
Campaigns and listings you already have stay as they are.
1.18.0 Oct 6
Contributing happens on the web
Contributing to a campaign now opens that campaign's page on opengiving.us in Safari, and you give there. Buying is unchanged and still happens in the app.
Fees you can follow
Checkout now draws OpenGiving's 5% as its own line. Before this, that amount was inside the total without a row of its own, so the fees you could see didn't add up to the figure you were charged. Now they do.
The fee the payment processor takes has one name — processing fee — instead of two different ones in two places, and there's an "i" beside it that explains what it covers.
The worked example on a listing now shows OpenGiving's cut too, so what you read before you buy matches what you're shown at checkout.
One box for your city
Saying where a listing or a campaign is used to mean two decisions: pick a state, then pick a city from whatever that state offered. It only ever worked for the United States, and it let you save a location with the state filled in and the city empty.
Now it's one box. Start typing, pick your city from the list, and that's the whole thing.
Addresses start with a search
Adding a delivery address opens on a lookup instead of nine empty boxes. Find your address, and the fields fill themselves in — still yours to correct.
Telling the payment methods apart
Card and PayPal each carry their own mark now, so you can see which is which without reading.
Choosing the campaign
On listings that leave it open, you pick which campaign your purchase supports, at checkout.
Smaller things
A contribution you send anonymously now says what that actually hides. The contribution floor reads 5%, matching what the server allows. Categories that were renamed now group under one subject instead of splitting.
1.17.0 Sep 30
Make an Offer. On any listing that isn't yours, propose the price you'd pay and add a note. The seller can accept it, counter with their own price, or decline, and you can counter back or withdraw. An accepted offer becomes the price you pay at checkout, for as long as it stands. Offers you've made and offers on your listings each have their own section, so you can see where every one of them stands.
Notification settings, in the account menu. Turn email or push off altogether, or pick which kinds you get: campaign updates, donations to campaigns you organize, your sales and deliveries, and offers. Each switch says what it actually stops, and says so when it's already sending nothing.
Pay by card wherever the seller takes cards, and pay with Apple Pay in the app's payment sheet.
Every fee and total now comes from the server rather than being worked out on the phone, so the cart, checkout, Donate Now and your order details all say the same thing. A sale shows one service fee and one total, and a seller can see where each sale's money went, grouped by campaign.
Refunds. Ask for a donation back from My Donations. If you organize a campaign or sell, the requests you're asked to decide sit on My Campaigns and the Seller Dashboard, alongside the ones you've already decided. A seller can release a confirmed sale's payment from the dashboard.
Campaign shops. Open a campaign's shop from its link, see its listings on the campaign screen in the shop's own order, and read the contribution total beside the campaign it belongs to. A campaign that has ended closes its shop and its Contribute button rather than taking money it can't use.
Sign in with Facebook, and the sign-in screen, the email step, password reset and connected accounts now match the website.
Also in this release: the platform tip opens at ten percent and reads as a percentage, a listing can be priced from a dollar and a dollar is a valid gift, Delete Account says when a request was declined and why, tapping a notification opens the screen it's about, support is support@opengiving.us, and more of the app reads naturally in Portuguese.
1.16.0 Sep 20
Creating a listing or a campaign works. In 1.14.0, every one you tried to create from the app failed with an error.
The Notifications screen in the account menu shows your notifications. Before, it couldn't load them.
Requesting a refund or leaving feedback on an order no longer says it failed when it went through. Deactivating a listing works too, and you can reactivate it.
If you sell, My Sales in the account menu lists your orders. Mark one shipped or ready for pickup, then enter the buyer's code to confirm delivery.
To offer shipping, a listing needs a package size and you need a default address to ship from. Checkout then adds postage to the buyer's total when a carrier can price it.
At checkout, the saved address you pick is the one the order goes to. You can add a recipient name and an apartment line, save the address for next time, and keep your name off every campaign's list of supporters. The cart shows the processing fee, and your order details show what you paid in total.
Amounts accept a comma for cents, like 15,50. On a phone set to a Brazilian region you couldn't type cents before.
More of the app is in Portuguese, including error messages and the camera, photo and location prompts.
Also in this release: you can request account deletion from the account menu and sort the shop by nearest. If the app opens without a connection, it signs you back in once you're online, without a restart. Listings say whether they ship or are pickup only, text is easier to read, and shared links use opengiving.us.

Open the app for the first time and a short introduction explains what OpenGiving is before anything asks you to sign up. Four lines, one button, and you never see it again.
Notifications arrive now, and tapping one opens the thing it is about: a message, an order, a campaign update, a payout.
Signing in accepts the password you set. The app was requiring eight characters before it sent anything, so accounts made when the minimum was six were refused on the device without ever reaching the server.
Your profile button sits in the top bar on every tab, and About is in the account menu rather than only on a card that scrolls away.
Also in this release: the home figures count money raised here rather than money campaigns raised elsewhere, and the About page's worked sale shows the split you are actually paid, which changed when the buyer started covering the payment processing.
1.14.0 Sep 7
Sign in with Apple and the app keeps your name now, instead of calling you "User". If it still doesn't know what to call you, it asks, and a Your Name row in your account menu changes it whenever you like.
Deactivate a campaign and it tells you it worked: your list stays put, deactivated campaigns show under Closed, and you can put one back up.
Your campaign page opens on the campaign itself, with Post Update on the page and editing, images, deactivating and deleting in the menu at the top.
Also in this release: descriptions read as text instead of showing the ## and ** the author typed, and the claim screen keeps its button in reach.
1.12.0 Sep 5
Buying something? Your delivery addresses are saved now.
Add an address once and pick it at checkout from then on, instead of typing it out for every order.
Browsing the shop got steadier too. Scrolling a long way through the listings no longer runs the app out of memory, and the grid reserves room for the items it hasn't fetched yet — so a fast flick carries on through the catalogue instead of stopping dead at the end of the last page it loaded.
Also in this release: campaign claim links open properly, signing up with an email that already has an account takes you straight to sign in, you can ask for a new confirmation email if the first one never arrived, and every sheet closes the same way.
1.11.0 Sep 2
Shared links now open in the app. Tap a link to a campaign or an item and you land straight on it.
Campaigns and items keep loading as you scroll.
We rewrote Home and About to say less and explain more.
Signing in is steadier, with fewer hiccups on the first screen after you sign in.
At large text sizes the Home shortcuts no longer get cut off, and your profile picture is no longer cropped in Messages.
1.10.0 Aug 31
Selling something digital?
You now choose how much of each sale goes to your campaign — including nothing at all. Set it when you list an item, and change it whenever you like. Until now every listing gave at least 20%; from here it's your call.
We also widened what you can sell. Digital listings accept 31 file types now, including 3D models, e-books, fonts, design files and plain documents — so a catalogue brought over from somewhere else arrives intact instead of half-rejected.
That list lives on our servers rather than inside the app, so we can add to it without asking you to update.
1.9.0 Aug 29
Clearer selling for digital products.
A digital listing goes on sale the moment its file finishes uploading. If that upload didn't finish — a dropped connection, a closed tab — the listing used to look completely normal to you while nobody could actually buy it. There was no way to tell.
Now it's marked plainly in My Products as not live, with what it needs to go on sale. If it's still waiting a day later, we email you and leave a notification in the app.
Your own listings also always appear under My Products now, including unfinished ones. Previously an unfinished listing could disappear from your own view, which made it impossible to find and fix.
1.8.0 Aug 27
The app now speaks Portuguese — all of it. Every screen, every button, and the chat too. A new Language setting in the menu switches between English and Portuguese, and the change applies immediately.
Amounts and dates follow the language you pick, so a price reads US$ 1.234,56 in Portuguese and $1,234.56 in English.
Prices and donations now have a minimum, and the app tells you what it is instead of letting the server refuse you later.
PayPal now returns you to where you were. Approving a payment used to drop you back on the home screen with your donation left behind.
Refreshed for iOS 26, with native headers throughout and a Liquid Glass profile button.
1.7.0 Aug 25
Withdrawing from your wallet no longer asks you to connect a bank account. Your balance is paid out to a PayPal address you give us, so that's all we need.
Fixed the Withdraw button staying greyed out even when you had a balance ready to go.
1.6.1 Aug 21
