New: talk through your life story with Marin, our AI interviewer, and get your chapters written in your own voice. Your first sitting and a sample chapter are free.
Talk through your life story. Get back a finished memoir.
MemoirMaker turns a conversation into a real book. Marin, our AI interviewer, plans your memoir with you, asks the questions and follows your stories, chapter by chapter. Your chapters are then written in your own voice for you to proof, change and keep.
HOW IT WORKS
• Plan your book. In about ten minutes, Marin asks what your memoir should cover (your whole life, a period such as your childhood, or one event), who it is for, and anything to leave out. Then she lays out the chapters for you to change.
• Tell your stories. Marin interviews you one question at a time, over as many sittings as you like. A page meter shows how much of your book you have told.
• Your book is written. Your chapters are written in your own voice, with a dedication, an introduction and a cover.
• Proof and finish. Check each paragraph beside the words you actually said, edit anything, and keep a book you can share or print.
ALREADY WRITING?
Add the spoken interview to a memoir you have already started. Everything you have written stays exactly as it is.
WRITE IT YOURSELF, TOO
• Dictate or type any memory, and the AI turns it into a polished section
• Use AI to polish a paragraph, expand a moment, or turn scattered notes into a meaningful passage
• Keep people, places and things consistent across chapters
• Organize chapters and choose section types such as Introduction, Epilogue and Acknowledgments
PERFECT FOR
• Parents and grandparents preserving family history
• Families helping a loved one tell their story
• Anyone marking a milestone, a career or a turning point
• People who would rather talk than write
Your first interview sitting and a sample chapter are free. The spoken interview uses your MemoirMaker account, so your book and recordings stay with you in the app and on the web.
Your story matters. Start by talking.

If you used the earlier MemoirMaker app with an email and password, you can now sign in straight from My Memoirs to bring your memoirs across, and the note about earlier memoirs disappears once you have. Plus small fixes.
