Piction: Daily Challenge

Guess the Daily Image

Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Piction is a photo word game you play once a day. Every day there is one photo, and one word that names what is in it. You get six tries to find it. HOW IT WORKS Type a word. Every letter comes back colored in. Green means the right letter in the right place. Yellow means the letter is in the word, sitting somewhere else. Gray means it is not in the word at all. A wrong guess still rules letters out, so there is no reason to sit and stare. Answers run four to six letters. Most of them are six. THE SAME PHOTO FOR EVERYONE Everyone gets the same photo on the same day, which is what makes results worth comparing. Solve it and you can share a card showing how you did without giving the answer away. WHAT YOU GET One new photo every day, released at midnight where you are Six tries, with color coded feedback on every letter A weekly board that shows where you placed A streak counting the days you turned up Hints when you are stuck, and free ones as you play FREE TO PLAY Start without an account. Sign in with Apple or Google to keep your progress across devices and to appear on the weekly board. Hint packs are optional. It takes a couple of minutes and it is harder than it looks. See the photo, work out what it is, find the word.

Build 31 (1.3.4) One fix, and it is the one people noticed. Ranks now updates when you finish a puzzle Play today's puzzle, then go to Ranks. Your points and your position should already be right, with no pull to refresh. Before this, the board you saw was the one the app loaded when you first opened it, so finishing a game changed nothing until you dragged the list down. That was the actual bug, and it was not the leaderboard being slow. You should also see yourself in the list straight away The published board is rebuilt every fifteen minutes, so a game you just finished could not be on it yet. Your own row is now put in place immediately using the score the app already has from your game. Everyone below you shifts down one, the way it will look after the rebuild anyway. What to check Finish a puzzle. Go to Ranks without refreshing. Your weekly points, your rank, and your row in the list should all match what the end of game screen just told you. If Ranks disagrees with the win screen, that is worth telling me about. Also worth a look Close the puzzle with the X and make sure you land back where you came from, including when you opened it from Ranks rather than Play. Nothing else changed on purpose.
