BoxFax sends faxes from your Mac through your FRITZ!Box. No fax machine, no detour through the web interface of the box. You can also fetch received faxes into the app.
TWO WAYS OF SENDING
- FRITZ!Box fax function (standard): BoxFax uploads the finished fax to the FRITZ!Box, which transmits it itself. No further setup, also works on the road through MyFRITZ! or VPN.
- Direct sending via CAPI (PRO): BoxFax creates the fax itself, the FRITZ!Box only sets up the phone call. With error correction (ECM) and up to 14,400 bit/s, every page is confirmed on its own, cancelling stops the transmission safely, and several faxes run at the same time over several numbers.
- You switch on CAPI over TCP right from BoxFax. BoxFax detects the fax numbers of your FRITZ!Box and preselects them.
- For every fax you see which way it goes out.

PRIVACY
- Your faxes and documents only go through your own FRITZ!Box
- No cloud storage of your faxes
- Error reports can be switched off in the settings, anonymous device information is only sent with your consent
Requirement: A FRITZ!Box with telephony and at least one internet phone number. For the standard way, the fax function of the FRITZ!Box must be set up. Direct sending needs CAPI over TCP (can be switched on in BoxFax) and works on the home network or through VPN.
