• Compress to a target size: choose a file-size limit for each PDF. Version 10.0.1 makes 10.0 dependable. It fixes a crash, and several problems that could hand you the wrong file without saying so. FIXED • Cancelling no longer crashes the app. Pressing Cancel, ticking a file or switching tabs at the start of a job could close GhostPDF+ without warning. • Password-protected PDFs now ask for their password. Before, the app could produce a blank page and report it as a successful compression. • Damaged PDFs are reported as damaged, instead of being turned into an empty file shown as a 99% saving. • Saving over the original is now safe. Choosing the original file's name in the save dialog could destroy it; the original is now replaced only after the new version has been checked. • Rasterize always removes selectable text. In 10.0 it could quietly keep the original when the flattened file came out larger. • Files with a slash in their name get a size estimate again, and Delete Pages works on them. IMPROVED • The Auto image filter in Pro mode chooses per image again: photos are compressed as JPEG at the quality you set, while screenshots, charts and diagrams stay sharp. • Size estimates start once you have finished ticking files, and do a third of the background work. • Error messages are short and say what went wrong. • Every screen and message is now available in Turkish and French.

Version 10.0 rebuilds the three things you use most: how files are compressed, how scans are captured, and how the app looks while you work. COMPRESSION THAT LISTENS TO YOU The quality slider works. Moving JPEG Quality in Pro mode now genuinely changes the result — on a photo-heavy document, quality 20 produces a file around half the size of quality 95. Previously the setting had no effect at all. Smaller files at the same quality. Images sitting just above your chosen resolution were being passed through untouched. They are now resampled properly, with bicubic filtering — typically around 40% smaller before any quality trade-off. Your file is never made bigger. Compressing an already-optimized PDF used to produce a larger file and report it as a success. GhostPDF+ now keeps your original and tells you plainly that it is already optimal. Remove document metadata now removes it. The setting previously did nothing. Title, author, subject, keywords, creator and the creation and modification dates are now genuinely stripped. REAL PROGRESS, AND A CANCEL BUTTON The progress bar follows the actual page being processed instead of moving in fixed jumps, so you can see how long a large document will take. And you can stop it — a Cancel button appears while a job runs and ends it immediately. SCANS THAT LOOK LIKE SCANS Black & white finally works on real photographs. A page lit from one side — a desk lamp, your own shadow — used to come out with the dim half as a solid black block. Each part of the page is now judged against the paper around it, so the whole page comes out clean and readable whatever the lighting. Dramatically smaller scan files. Scanned pages are compressed to suit their content. A black-and-white scan can be a small fraction of its former size, and colour and greyscale scans are many times smaller, with no visible difference at normal viewing. Remove shadows actually removes shadows. It now evens out the lighting across the page instead of simply brightening everything, which brightened the text just as much as the shadow. Better automatic cropping. Page-edge detection uses a document-recognition model that finds your page on a cluttered desk and at angles the previous detector gave up on. Choose your scan resolution. Export now offers Compact, Standard and Fine, so you decide the balance between sharpness and file size. Faster editing. Cropping and straightening a page is several times quicker on large scans. A CLEANER, MORE ACCESSIBLE APP Light and dark mode are handled consistently everywhere, and the app follows your Mac's appearance properly. The compression presets can be reached with the Tab key and are announced correctly by VoiceOver. See the size before you commit. Load a document on the Basic tab and each compression level shows an estimated result, so you can choose knowing roughly what you will get. Built-in help. PDF Signing GhostPDF+ now supports PDF signing with .p12 and .pfx certificate files. You can add a real digital signature to a PDF, optionally place a visible signature block on the first page, last page, or a custom position, and include signer details such as name, timestamp, and reason. There are two signature options: Digital Signature Uses your certificate to cryptographically sign the PDF. This helps prove the document has not been changed after signing. If the PDF is edited later, PDF readers may mark the signature as invalid. Visual Signature Adds a visible signature mark to the page, such as typed text, an imported image, or a hand-drawn signature. You can choose placement, size, page scope, style, opacity, frame, and ink color. Visual signatures are for appearance only and do not prove document integrity.
