Introducing Live TimeCam. Step into another era through your camera and see history unfold around you in real time. Choose a period, explore the transformed scene, and capture moments to revisit later. We’ve also improved nearby historical discoveries in Explore, refreshed the app experience, and fixed crashes and reliability issues.

TimeCam turns your camera into a time machine — now in real time. Point your iPhone at a room, street, landmark or landscape and see it reimagined across history, the future and impossible alternate worlds. LIVE TIMECAM — BETA Open a live time portal and watch the world transform as you move your camera. Choose portrait or landscape, select from the lenses available on your iPhone, switch between front and rear cameras, and optionally transform people’s clothing to match the selected era. When the portal closes, TimeCam saves both the transformed video and the original camera recording—with locally recorded sound—to My Memories. Spin the time wheel during playback to move instantly between the real moment and its time-shifted version. Your first Live TimeCam portal is free. Additional live portals use TimeCam credits. CREATE A TIME SLICE Take a new photo or choose one from your library, select an era, and transform the scene into another moment in time. Travel through: • Ancient civilizations and lost worlds • Medieval, Tudor, Georgian and Victorian history • The Industrial Revolution and the 20th century • Future societies and alternate timelines • Cyberpunk, utopian and post-apocalyptic worlds • Prehistoric and rewilded landscapes BUILD YOUR MEMORIES Save your transformations as personal memories, add more time periods to the same place, generate video, and use the time wheel to reveal how a scene changes across eras. EXPLORE NEARBY HISTORY Discover historical events and places around you, then use them as inspiration for new Time Slices. Location access is optional. MAKE IT YOUR OWN Advanced controls let you shape each transformation, including how people appear, whether new era-appropriate people should be introduced, and how closely the original composition is preserved. SHARE YOUR TIME TRAVELS Export and share transformed photographs, videos and memories with friends, family and fellow history lovers. TimeCam is made for people who love history, travel, architecture, old cities, strange places, filmmaking and impossible before-and-after moments. Take a photo. Open a portal. See the world change. Some features require TimeCam credits or a subscription. Live TimeCam is a beta feature and requires a compatible device and internet connection. Generated scenes are creative interpretations and may not be historically exact.

Explore is faster and more reliable. Nearby history now loads quickly, returns better local historical moments, and fixes an issue where some Explore results could fail to appear or could not be used for generation.
