AidSphere (formerly SafeGuard Cyprus): Nearby authorities, worldwide AidSphere helps residents, travelers, and communities find validated contact and location information for nearby assistance services (police, fire, medical, and related authorities) based on your GPS position. What began as SafeGuard Cyprus is now a global nearby-authorities platform. Our core job is to consolidate accurate, publicly available directory data so you can find the nearest resource when you need assistance. KEY FEATURES GLOBAL NEARBY-AUTHORITIES FINDER - Locate nearby police stations, fire services, medical facilities, and other assistance points ranked by distance from your live GPS location. - Coverage grows with verified public records and community contributions, not limited to a single country. - Proximity display shows how far each authority is and which is nearest first. COUNTRY-AWARE EMERGENCY DIAL - One-tap CALL EMERGENCY NOW uses your location to resolve the appropriate public emergency number for your country (with a safe fallback when needed). - Direct dial for publicly listed authority phones where available. Authority numbers are never overwritten by the emergency number. INCIDENT MAP & FILTERS - View public incidents on a real map (OpenStreetMap). - Filter by type, severity, and status so you understand what’s nearby before you move. INCIDENT REPORTING (NON-OFFICIAL) Submit structured reports with GPS location and optional photos for non-emergency events, traffic issues, or general assistance needs. Recipient network: Reports go to AidSphere’s private network of registered assistance providers and participating organizations for coordination. SafeGuard Cyprus is now AidSphere. This is the release where the app stops being a Cyprus-only directory. The name, the icon and the coverage all changed together, so here is exactly what is different. WORLDWIDE COVERAGE The nearby-authorities directory is no longer limited to Cyprus. Police stations, fire services and medical facilities are now resolved from your live GPS position wherever you are, and the coverage keeps growing from verified public records instead of a single national dataset. If you travel, the app follows you. BALANCED NEARBY RESULTS Previously one busy category could crowd out the others, so you might see nine medical facilities and a single police station. Nearby results now return the seven closest entries for every service type, so fire, police and medical are always represented side by side and the "nearest first" ordering actually means something. CLEANER AUTHORITY DATA Duplicate records that came from overlapping import sources have been removed, so places like walk-in medical clinics no longer appear twice in the same list. Imports now recognise these duplicates up front, which stops them from returning later. REBUILT INCIDENT MAP • Tap any authority on the map to open a detail sheet with its address, phone and email, then call, email or open directions in one tap. These are the same actions the website offers. • Expand the map to fill the screen and collapse it again without losing your position. • Pinch, double-tap and drag gestures all work, and zoom no longer snaps back while you are moving around. • Your live location is shown on the map again and stays in sync as it updates. DARK MODE Every screen now has a proper dark palette and the app follows your system appearance setting by default, so it switches with the rest of your device instead of staying bright at night. REFRESHED BRANDING New AidSphere name, app icon, splash screen and in-app wording throughout, replacing the SafeGuard Cyprus identity. Your account, saved data and the bundle identifier are unchanged, so nothing needs to be set up again. Existing SafeGuard Cyprus users: this is the same app, updated in place. Sign in with your usual credentials. As always, AidSphere is an independent app by MOMINPERT and is not a government service. For a life-threatening emergency, always call your country's official emergency number.
