Photos stored in iCloud wait for Wi-Fi, and Pic Prune asks before using mobile data. Groups stay close to the moment you took the photos. Exact copies are still found across dates.

Pic Prune is much better at spotting duplicates. • Two copies of the same photo used to slip past it. They don't any more. • Groups used to gather up photos that had nothing to do with each other. A dinner, a candle and someone at the bar are three moments, not one group. • New: the same photo saved twice, weeks apart, now turns up as a pair. That's the one messaging apps leave behind. The first scan after this update goes through your whole library again, so your older photos get the benefit too. It happens once. Scanning is much faster. • It works from the copy already on your iPhone instead of pulling every photo down from iCloud. • It respects your Data Usage setting now. It used to download over mobile data even when you'd told it not to. • Anything it can't reach waits for Wi-Fi, and the dashboard tells you how many. They don't any more. • If you already picked a favorite out of a burst in Photos, Pic Prune knows, and agrees with you. • Portrait shots stop losing for having a soft background, which is the whole point of them. • Screenshots stop winning. It also learns. Every time you keep one photo over another, Pic Prune leans a little further toward your taste. That stays on your iPhone, and you can reset it in Settings. Fast Review got sharper too. • It never shows you a group it hasn't looked at yet. If nothing's ready, it tells you, instead of guessing. • Photos load ahead of you, so a card opens sharp rather than blurry. • Hold the big photo to see it full screen. Hold one in the strip to compare the two side by side, then slide to pick the keeper. New: Your Stats. A month-by-month chart of everything you've reclaimed, badges for what you've cleared, and your streaks. Smaller things: • Photo Access has its own setting now, so you can change which photos Pic Prune sees whenever you like. • Fixed a group that showed no cover photo. • Fixed reminders getting swallowed when they arrived while the app was open.
