TraceWay - GPX Recorder
Location Tracking and Logging
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
TraceWay records your routes with precision, so you can relive and share every journey. Whether you're hiking, cycling, running, or driving, TraceWay captures your path and exports it as a standard GPX file.
TRACK YOUR JOURNEY, LIVE
Watch your path appear on an interactive map as you move. Start, pause, and resume sessions with ease — TraceWay continues recording in the background even when your screen is off or you switch to another app.
KNOW EXACTLY WHERE YOU ARE
See every detail about your current position at a glance — coordinates, altitude, speed, heading, and accuracy, all updated in real time.
LIVE SESSION METRICS
Stay on top of your session as it unfolds. TraceWay tracks and displays:
• Total distance traveled
• Elapsed time and average speed
• Maximum speed
• Total ascent and descent
• Displacement
RECOVER INTERRUPTED SESSIONS
TraceWay saves recording progress as you go. If an unfinished session is found after a crash, battery loss, or system termination, TraceWay offers to resume it, save it as a GPX file, or discard it on the next launch.
ALL YOUR TRACKS IN ONE PLACE
Browse your saved recordings and revisit past journeys. Open a route to see it on a map alongside a breakdown of its statistics and track segments. Inspect the GPX file directly in the app.
GPX FILE MANAGEMENT
Export recordings in the standard GPX format for use in mapping tools, fitness apps, and navigation software. Import and browse existing GPX files right in the app. TraceWay includes additional location details in its exports, such as vertical speed, altitude, and accuracy information.
