Fish Tank Tracker's App Store page is now available in many more languages, including French, German, Japanese, Korean and Chinese. The app itself works just as before.

Charts you can tap, more units, and safer dosing. NEW • Tap a chart in History to see any reading, with your water changes marked on it. • Alkalinity can be typed in dKH, meq/L or ppm, as your test kit reads it. • Gallons or liters, tank by tank: pick the unit when you add a tank, or switch it later. Its volume and the water changes you logged convert with it. • Edit water changes: tap one in its history to fix a typo or move it to another day, and log one from yesterday. IMPROVEMENTS AND FIXES • Safer dosing: a plan never doses faster than the product's own label allows, and an alkalinity that looks like a meq/L reading is checked before it's dosed for. • Fish-only (FOWLR) tanks are judged against fish-only ranges, any ammonia or nitrite needs attention, and SG 1.025 counts as optimal on a reef. • A reading that's likely a typo (42 for 420 calcium) is questioned before it's saved, and a thousands separator (1,350) is read correctly. • On reef and FOWLR tanks, salinity typed as specific gravity (1.025) into an older version is now read as SG, so those tests chart correctly. • The water change calculator mixes salt to your tank's salinity target, or to natural seawater for a reef or FOWLR tank, and none for freshwater. It also shows what the change does to nitrate and phosphate. • Trend analysis shows how far a parameter has moved (+2.4 dKH in 28 days), and catches a rise from zero. • Overdue maintenance gets a reminder. • CSV exports keep accents and line breaks when opened in Excel. • Works better with VoiceOver and TalkBack, larger text and higher-contrast text, and number pads have a Done key. • Forms ask before throwing away what you've typed.

The biggest update yet: set your own targets, back up your data, fix mistakes, and see more at a glance. NEW • Target ranges: set the optimal range for any parameter, for each tank. The dashboard, charts and history judge your readings against it. • Dose straight from a test: when alkalinity, calcium or magnesium tests low, tap Dose on the dashboard. The calculator starts from your reading and aims for your own target. • Backup and restore: save everything to Files, iCloud Drive, Google Drive or email, and restore it on a new phone. Free, with a reminder once you've logged a few tests. • Salinity in ppt or specific gravity (SG): choose in Settings, and type in either one anytime. Phosphorus from a Hanna ULR checker can be typed in ppb. • Edit tests: tap a test in History to fix a typo or move it to another day, and log a test you took yesterday. • Edit maintenance tasks: change the name, interval or equipment. The due date and reminder follow. • A smarter dashboard: each reading shows how it changed since your last test, next to your last water change and upcoming maintenance. Headline readings match your tank type. • Reminders your way: choose the day and time of the weekly test reminder, or turn it off and keep maintenance alerts. Tapping a reminder opens the right screen. • Clearer charts, with dates and values on the axes, over 30 days, 90 days, a year or all time. The log screen shows your last reading for each parameter. • Share any test as text, for a second opinion on the forums. • Livestock marked as deceased is kept in a Past list, and can be restored. FIXES • Dosing calculator: product strengths have been corrected. Earlier versions overstated how much to dose, so please recheck any dosing plan made with the old calculator. Larger corrections are now split into safe daily doses, and you can enter any product's strength straight from its label. • Freshwater and brackish tanks are no longer judged against reef targets. • Numbers typed with a decimal comma (8,2) are read correctly, and Celsius users see ranges in °C. • Fixed lists not updating, the tab bar on newer iPhones, and other small issues.
