Discover helps you decide what to watch with personalized shelves:
• Up Next highlights your current momentum
• Ready to Watch shows what’s available right now
• Tonight suggests shows you could finish in one sitting
Explore new content with curated picks, contextual recommendations like Strong Match and Recent Release, trending titles, and You May Also Like suggestions on every details page.
Track your viewing with powerful insights.
The Analytics hub combines Ratings, Statistics, and Milestones into one destination.
See your watch streaks, activity trends, library breakdown, and rating distribution. Unlock personal milestones as you watch, rate, and explore — with tiered achievements across categories like Watching, Library, Ratings, Completion, Streaks, Consistency, and Discovery.
Know where to watch.
CouchTime shows streaming availability by region, powered by TMDB.
The Details screen displays subscription, free, rent, and buy options with tappable provider chips. Watchlist and Library cards include streaming badges, and the Updates feed notifies you when a title becomes available on a new service.
Never miss a release.
CouchTime includes local episode notifications so you always know when the next episode airs. Control notification scope, review your schedule, and reschedule reminders whenever you want.
A cinematic viewing companion.
Enjoy a refined Details experience with full cast information, smooth motion, and carefully crafted visuals throughout the app. If metadata ever mismatches, you can manually correct it using Fix Match.
Built offline-first.
Your library, ratings, progress, cast information, streaming availability, recommendations, milestones, and analytics remain available even without a network connection.
Optional Trakt.tv integration lets you import watch history and sync watched episodes and movies across devices.
No ads.
No social feeds.
No distractions.
Just a fast, focused, premium experience built for people who love what they watch.
Data is provided by TMDB and Trakt.tv. CouchTime is not affiliated with or endorsed by these services.
more Optional Google sign-in to back up your data to the cloud.
CouchTime is still offline-first — everything works without an account. Since the last App Store version:
- Sign in with Google in Settings → Account to back up your library, watch history, ratings, and milestones.
- Restore on a new phone: install CouchTime, sign in with the same Google account, and your data comes back.
- Automatic background sync — changes flow to the cloud within about thirty seconds. No buttons to remember.
- "Sync now" button in Settings → Account if you want explicit control.
- Delete your account in-app at Settings → Account → Delete account. Immediate soft-delete, 14-day grace window, and you can cancel any time by signing back in during the window.
- New "About your account" help sheet in Settings explains exactly what gets backed up, what stays local, and how sign-out and account deletion differ.
Sign-in is optional. The whole app keeps working without it. Signing out pauses cloud access without touching your local data; "Sign out and clear local data" wipes the device.
